I downloaded SMBX and opened it, but when I open it, it tells me that it wants to change my security details. Is this malware?

No, SMBX is perfectly safe.

Let me guess, that exe file has been affected by "OpenCandy" which can be found here as a topic: http://www.smbxgame.com/forums/v ... =69&t=8679
If it's not, normally a SMBX file doesn't have any virus or anything what so ever...

I don't think it said anything like that, so I'll check again.

Even then, SMBX.exe shouldn't have anything relative to malwares like viruses because that would be misleading.

Alright, thanks. I was just checking because it's the family computer it's asking on. Still, what does it want to change?
SMBX is on a USB, if it helps.

I use a Windows 7 Computer but I don't actually have to change anything to work with SMBX. I just save them on my Desktop, that's all I did and it works without any problems.

Ohh. For some reason the app icon has the mushroom but in the bottom-right corner, there's a yellow and blue checkered shield.
Again, does having it on a USB change anything?

That shield means that it's an Admin only access to the data. I hope you saved SMBX inside your "User" Files so you can access that file without any Administration permissions to do anything with the file. If there is no "Password" on your Admin then it doesn't really matter but if it is then you might want to take care of it.

Sorry, bossedit8, but one more question. Can I actually leave SMBX on the USB or do I HAVE to move it to the user folder.
Also, just checked out your channel. Cool stuff m8

That doesn't matter actually. It's your desicion whenever you want to use SMBX on the USB or inside your PC's database.

Just one more thing,bossedit8. Sorry.
The file name isn't SMBX.exe, it's smbx1301.exe.
I know it should be fine, but just making sure...

smbx.exe is version 1.3 while smbx 1.3.0.1 is obviously 1.3.0.1. Both of those exe files should be completly fine. I can use both of them with no problems.
