How do you change the Goomba thing next to my username? Btw I'm new.

You don't.
The higher your post count gets, the better the rank.
Although you can make an avatar, just go to user control panel and create it.

Btw, how many posts do I need to get to the next rank?

I think 10, I can't remember that well.

At least 5. 5 is shy guy. I went so fast that I didn't even know we had a shy guy lol!
