...and the thing is a message!
Can some of you guys stop replying to the quite obvious spambot threads? Yeah, it's a spambot, I'm pretty sure we can see that. Just report and move along, I don't really think you need to senselessly reply to the spambot threads and state the obvious in them because A. no shit sherlock and B. the message will just get removed anyway so what's the point in wasting your time to reply to a spambot.
There's my public service announcement or whatever. Just please for the love of God and all that is mighty don't reply to spambots kthx.

Yes, please do not reply to spam threads. Your posts will only be deleted anyways along with the entire thread, and extra posts make it somewhat more annoying to do so.
So you know, the general format of the spam threads is a series of apparently poorly, possibly machine translated (English) paragraphs with links placed into them. I would not suggest clicking on the links either, it's fairly likely that they lead to malware.

Good thing you guys got to that last one in about 30 minutes after I found it. Though 30 minutes is a bit too long for what kind of content it had, it also was viewed over 9 times! That was not appropriate for the younger members on here. Next time though, I'm just reporting the post and moving on. I was getting a bit snarky and a bit pissed that something like that would be posted here, so I put a reply to it even though it wouldn't do me any good.

...and this is why I just Report These horrifying Posts and ignore them at all cost further on until it gets deleted.
If you see a bad post and it already has been reported, ignore them. That is all you have to do.

Let me remind you that the "younger audience" is really never anyone below the age of 13 really, so it's no big deal? With maybe the single exception of MyNameIsEric52 who, need I remind you, made a whole comic series with dick jokes and the repeated use of the word "ass".
Also I know it's really not the place to see images like that but it's the Internet so you have to be prepared for anything, including pictures of girl's asses, which wasn't really that bad? Worse has been posted on IRC before.

There's two things you moderators should look into adding in the report button:
-The reported message is an unnecessary post that contributes little to the topic.
-The reported message violates the forum rules.
As there are some minor clauses in the rules that do happen to be violated occasionally, this would be convenient in those situations so I don't have to waste a minute of my life trying to think of a reason to fit in the "other" box. Yep.

I just follow the second option in the dropdown menu and that gets the job done anyway. Fits most reports.

If people just would use the report button that would be great. But noo they have to comment on it of course.

That's what I just said in the OP, so it's kind of fruitless to repeat pretty much my same exact words as it will have the same generated outcome. Now that was pretty useless, wasn't it? If you're going to contribute, at least contribute to the conversation without repeating what has already been said.

Theres nothing anymore that needs to be contributed or discussed to this thread anyway. The case is pretty much done imo. Afterall we have the staff team to take care of those things so why even trying to tell people not to reply. It's not like they gonna listen to you anyway.

I like how one of the report reasons goes off of the screen and I can't even read half of it.

It got deleted. Was only the metal detector thing anyway. No one needs that.

I'll stop replying to the spammers when the moderators and admins actually check every thread for once.

When you report it, it sends a notification to the MCP (and I think ACP but I don't remember exactly), which all moderators can view and then take care of.

Well, Ignoritus wanted to give the spammer the benefit of the doubt, which I don't blame him for. The dude was almost certainly a spammer based on the post but there was still a sliver of a chance that he was legit.
