Not asking for suggestions, but giving some advice.
SMWCentral has an abundance of music files that would fit with a lot of different types of levels.

However, they're .spc files, which I think are only compatible with SMBX2? Anyways if you don't mind being restricted to a SNES sound font then this is a fantastic place to look for music.

They are compatible with every version except vanilla 1.3 since SMBXs audio system got replaced with SDL Mixer X in pretty much every version.
