There should be Project and Episode posting rights required, because I swear to God, everyday, at least 5 people post a project/episode thread without screenshots and/or a download link. It's worse than Levels and how it used to be before posting rights were a thing with it.

I agree with Kep. I think I speak for all of us when I say we're tired of locking a thousand threads a day.

Yeah, I gotta say, it's kind of ridiculous. Quality control would be rather nice.

No. Because sometimes even if they know u actually follow the rules with your posts, they'll ignore you for about a month and it is really annoying. That's what happened to me after I posted to have posting rights in the levels forum. It would be quite vexing, and I think the posting rights people just ignore you for a long time. -_-
But I do understand Choco. I see how stupid project posts can waste time. But making the posting rights thing would waste time as well. Having to add them into the group. Unless you are really not diligent.

There are ways for people to be automatically moved into groups that have more permissions. For example if we were to make use of the Newly Registered Users group, it would prevent people from posting right away in the episodes/projects forum.
Also LJs, Mods, and Admins could just approve topics to be posted kind of like what we had with posts for the SMBX Videos announcement, if I'm not mistaking.

If People had posting rights then the level judges would become very lazy to be honest, most of the staff is already too lazy to even review levels.
Also I don't want to wait just to post a project, it's already tedious enough with the level section.
My opinion.

Well, it's kinda like the the posting rights thing. Also, if you guys implement this, please keep it combined with the levels posting rights.

Looking at the unfinish mess in the project forum is one of the most entertaining things to do on the forums. It would be a shame if that wouldn't be possible anymore.

That's it, I'm done. People don't listen. People *cough*DAT LUIGI FAN*cough* post updates to projects in a new thread each time. They just go and repost their projects exactly the same way AFTER being locked. Maybe if they listened, it would be okay. But I'm so sick of this.

The staff can give/take permission to post in certain forums.

I wouldn't generally prevent any new user of posting Projects/Episodes, there are new users that know how to follow rules and uers that wouldn't fall under the New Users group that post projects that don't folow the rules.

Actually, I just thought of something - there are no rules in the Projects or Episodes board, making it look like to new users they don't have to follow anything besides the forum rules as a whole in those two boards.
Before someone says "but the Levels board rules apply to the project and episode rules", why would a new user go look at the Levels rules and then post in the Projects or Episodes board?

It doesn't matter to me even though I am technically a new user on this new version of SMBx forums, I do have seniority already. Only problem is when I have a demo ready will I have to make a whole project thread, etc.

It's still odd how some people still repost their locked projects when they haven't read the instructions properly. Might as well say yes to the poll, but if the prevention from posting a topic in projects/episode is permanent, then I might be in the middle.

I think you didn't understand what are posting rights. They won't make so you can't post in the projects forum anymore: you have to request them to post topics.
