Castle of Darkness Tileset v1.3

Original GFX credits
Spoiler: show
Curtains: Sednaiur (I think I spelled that right)
Red Carpet Tileset: Emral
Other Castle Tileset: Deaddude
All other sprites recolored belong to respective owners
IF ANYONE SEE'S 1x1 PIXELS IN THE SCREENSHOTS, DON'T WORRY! THERE ARE NONE! THE SCREENSHOTS TURNED OUT THAT WAY AFTER EDITING!

I did hand draw the star on the banner (it was pretty difficult to get the bottom angles on the star right)
I'm pretty happy with how this turned out; however, this is still a WIP and there is still some room for improvement.

I thought you overdid it with the NPCs, but this looks amazing. I wouldn't be surprised to see a few recolors of this in the near future. Overall an excellent mix of unrelated tilesets.

Honestly, that star could use a little work. Take a look at how icegoom made his Starman here:

I was actually thinking of using that template, but when I saw the final result, it didn't really click with me. I guess I was trying to make it look like a SMB3 starman

I think having the background be brighter than the foreground is pretty irritating. But I can't think of a way to fix that without messing up the concept. A problem resulting from this is the practically camoflague enemies. I didn't see the thwomp at first.

Yeah I was kinda thinking the same thing once I saw it come together. I agree that the background should be darker, but not too dark to the point where it will be hard to see the detail of the thwomp/bowser statues. I'll try it and see what happens.

This is just an epic collection of dark graphics you got there. Very nice work. It is a clever way to get on the dark side lol.

Don't worry, Valtteri has a Darth Vader boss in his graphics pack.
Honestly, my only complaint with this is those really dark blue pillars & other tiles of the same color. Seems like they should be a bit lighter.

Nice ongoing graphics, but the background distinction issue should be addressed more carefully, maybe using a different color.

I darkened the wall bg and it will be posted in the later update

Oh IK lol I was making a joke and yeah I'll brighten up the second tileset up a bit, but I'll leave the sizeable alone since it pretty much acts as a bg

I probably will in the future and as far as tilesets and NPCs, I definitely will. I'm planning on making a cave tileset next, but I'm still working on this one. I recently added a few things to this one which will be posted in a later update.

That looks really nice! The color palette is amazing, and I can definitely find some use for this in the future.
