I'm surprised this topic hasn't been made yet. Anyway, discuss Sonic games here and stuff. So, Sega Japan recently unveiled a teaser for their new mobile Sonic game, Sonic Runners. Here's the video.

What about a favorite sonic game ? I will stick with the first Sonic for Genesis, nice graphics, great soundtrack and a sweet gameplay, a memorable funny overall.

My personal favorite is Sonic Colors. I just loved that game! I even continued to play it after beating it 100% and I still didn't get bored. Something about that game just felt magical to me.

There was a homing attack in Sonic Colors.

I just checked,you are able to make a small dash when pressing the jump button and some other button. (Didn't checked what i pressed

)

Still haven´t the opportunity to play Sonic Colors, looks good seeing some screenshots. Wish Dolphin emulator could actually emulate Wii games, so far only had luck running Gamecube titles.

I'm not a Sonic fan, but I have seen some of Sonic Boom and I can say it's one of the worst cartoons I've ever seen

I don't think I've ever heard a "meh" opinion on the Sonic Boom cartoon. It's either a great show or a bad one, depending on who you ask. I might check it out, if I ever find time to do so.

Dolphin 3.0 runs Wii games very well. Just 4.0 makes wii games run much slower than before for some reason.
Also, the boom cartoon is a lot better than the game. I played the game for a few hours and never gonna touch it again

Sonic Colors runs just fine for me on Dolphin 4.0. Maybe it's because of my PC or the fact that the game runs at 30 FPS. About Sonic Boom, I think it's a really good show, but there are other things on TV I'd rather watch.

I only played the classic Sonic games, apart for Sonic CD. I'd like to play some new Sonic games, though.

Nice to known, i´ll give version 3 a try soon, as both Dolphin 3 and 3.5 are available on official site.

I'm a love/hate fan when it comes to the games. The classic Sonic games are something I can always hold in my heart as good game moments. Outside of that I can only appreciate Heroes, Adventure 2, Colors, and Generations. Other Sonic games I was simply either annoyed with or they couldn't keep up with my interests.

Yeah, even though I'm known for loving Sonic, I refuse to play any Sonic games that were released from 2006-2009 because games released within that period of time are considered some of Sonic's worst games, but I might end up having an unpopular opinion because you never know unless you try for yourself. I heard that Sonic and the Black Knight was okay, and that the PS3/Xbox360 version of Sonic Unleashed was also good. (Yes, it's drastically different from the wii version.) I might just check out Black Knight some day, and the good version of Unleashed as well, if I ever get a PS3, which I want, btw.

The only 'Modern' Sonic games i think are good are:
Sonic Adventure / SA2B
Sonic Unleashed (XBox/PS3,the night levels took hours,and the fighting music pissed me of,but the day levels made it awesome for me)
Sonic and the Black Knight (It was alright)
Sonic Colors (Wii)
Sonic Generations
Sonic Lost World

out of those, the ones ive played and agree with are:
sonic unleashed
sonic adventure 2
sonic colours
sonic generations

I can't really agree with Unleashed, though Lost World wasn't too bad.
