What to do with my 3DS?

I got my 3DS in 2013, and before that my mom asked me if I would want a Wii. I said "no" and got a 3DS. Now I think that it was a not too good idea, because from what I see the Wii U and Wii have better games, even though they aren't portable. What should I do? Vote in the poll

Don't be so unthankful. Selling a gift... It's just wrong. Also, there's alot of cool games planned for the 3ds. If you REALLY want a WII U, buy it yourself. But DON'T sell it. Could be just me, though.

Keep the 3DS but get the Wii U. Having both really gives you some great selection.

We're talking Bayonetta 2, Smash WiiU, Pikmin 3, Mario 3D World and Mario Kart 8 against Mario & Luigi Dream Team, Fire Emblem Awakening, Smash 3DS, Bravely Default, Majoras Mask (soon) and Ocarina of Time 3D. In my opinion, right now the 3DS has a better game lineup. With games like Star Fox, Splatoon and Zelda U still to-be-released, keeping it is very well worth it. Especially since Majora's Mask comes out soon and a new Fire Emblem game is in the making.
You should still save up for a WiiU, simply because it really starts to kick off with good games recently. Bayonetta 2 and Smash 4 are the prime examples. It might even be worth it just to get it for one of the WiiU's games. Especially if you're a die-hard Zelda, Star Fox or Pikmin fan.

Wait for your birthday or Christmas to get both consoles' selection. And also, expand your horizons. Try some other games on both consoles. You won't be disappointed.

You know what? I don't really think that letting the community choose whether I should have a Wii U, 3ds or both is a good idea either. Please lock this.
For me, "Keep the 3ds" is out. Now I have to choose between the Wii U or both myself.

If your mom gave u the 3DS i wouldn't give it away. 3 DS also has good stuff you should try something else then mario games. But you won't care about this.

So you're trading portability and few mario games for a home console with slightly more? Like others have said, there are far more franchises for you to explore, other than Mario. And if you don't want to - there's still Virtual Console. Some games might overlap but I'd choose the portability over a handful of Mario games.

I feel like 3DS has a much wider range of games then the Wii U, don't get me wrong, the Wii U has a great library, but I find myself playing 3DS much more. It's great for pick-up-and-play games, but also for longer sessions.

I'm not really interested in the other franchises.
Also, CaptainSyrup: I have discussed this with my mom, she doesn't seem to care about the 3ds being a gift xD

Even though the poll hasn't ended yet, I decided to close it.
Results:
Keep the 3ds: 4
Sell the 3ds, get a Wii U: 1
Wait for christmas for a Wii U: 3
You know what? Fuck this. I don't care that "Keep the 3ds" got the most votes, I'm waiting for my birthday. If I don't get the Wii U, i'm waiting for Christmas. If I don't get the Wii U on that day either I'm selling the 3DS and getting the Wii U. I''m not interested in Zelda or other crap, I'm mostly interested in
MARIO. And I think that the Wii U has better Mario games. Please don't post below this.

I also used to not be interested in certain franchises, but I tried them and they are some of my favorites nowadays.
Also, I'm not CaptainSyrup.
