For starters, what games are you guys playing? I recently started Pokémon Alpha Sapphire and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U.

The last Smash tourney was sometime around the beginning of December where Nickname overpowered my Charizard in the finals. 'Tis was good. ;D
I'm definitely much better as Fox and Sheik nowadays than I ever was at Greninja though. This whole amiibo craze is doing some good.
BTW I'M GETTING SHEIK AND MAYBE LUCARIO TOMORROW. SO. GET READY FOR... idk
On that subject, though, if anyone needs Bowser or Toon Link those two are commonly circulated around Toys R Us right now. Go find them if you can I suppose.
Probably somewhat obvious, but mainly SM3DW and Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker and throw in a bit of Kirby. Then you've got my past month of gaming in a nutshell.
For those who've played Dream Team - what was your overall opinion on it? I've seen it praised at the same level as Superstar Saga. I have it but haven't gotten past the Bowser fight in Luigi's deep subconscious, or whatever it was called.

It seems okay, but I put it before Bowser's Inside Story, which in turn I put behind Superstar Saga. I like the M&L games, but they seem like rehashes of Superstar Saga albeit with some changes to the storyline. Still good games in my opinion.

it is not as good as superstar saga or bowser's inside story. there's way too many tutorials. there's tutorials for things in the very final dungeon. even when the game offers you to skip a tutorial, the game still gives you the cliffnotes versions. and most of these tutorials teach you things that are completely obvious to anyone with half a brain. it's not just tutorials either, there's a crazy amount of hand holding. do you want to solve puzzles yourself? that's too bad, because some secondary character is going to come and blurt out the solution whether you want him to or not. additionally, the game is too long. it's probably twice as long as bowser's inside story but it has the same amount of unique areas/dungeons/enemy types/etc within the game, which leads to an insane amount of padding and filler content. one area can last up to 4 or 5 hours with the same 3 enemy types throughout the entire thing. the story is pretty lame as well. antasma sucks as a villain and is not even remotely comparable to fawful or cackletta. lastly, the gyro controls during some of the giant battles are pretty bad. i had the controls flat out stop working during one of the fights multiple times.
asides from that, the battle system (especially for the dream world battles) and the boss fights are all pretty spectacular.
Dream Team was the perfect example of a game that I really wanted to like, but that seemed like it was actively trying to push me away. I loved the the style, humor, and gameplay of Bowser's Inside Story and thought that Dream Team would recapture that, but the tutorials were just obnoxious and totally killed my enthusiasm for the game. Seriously, I played it for 7 hours until I finally decided to give up on it, and I still felt like I was in some kind of early tutorial phase -- and most of the tutorials were recaps of stuff that I had already learned!
