In SMB, there's given you a mission (saving Princess Peach 1337th time) and in Splatoon, uhm, well xD

But NSMB's Gameplay isn't very good either, in my opinion.

Does Super Smash Bros have a mission then? Mario Kart?

Just cause a game doesn't have a 'save X before X happens' doesn't make it any less of a game. Splatoon is a multiplayer shooter. Objective : beat the other team.

Ok, the Splatoon Global Testfire was SO fun. I definitely want Splatoon now, but there's just one problem. THE FREAKING SPLAT ROLLERS! Those things pretty much kill the purpose of all the other weapons. They're more maneuverable than the guns, they instantly kill players they run over, and they put down ink faster than any other weapon. Nintendo really needs to nerf them.

and they do literally nothing to people on higher ground. you're not very smart for trying to make broad statements on balance based on an hour long play-session with a limited selection of gear and maps.

One of three things will happen.

Either they will drop Metroid, which will be a sad day. Or, they will make a 3D First-Person Metroid game like Prime. Or, they should either make a 3D remake of Super Metroid, or make another side-scrolling Metroid.

I don't think they're done with it though.

I don't like Other M, but as much as I'm seeing that Samus everywhere I get a feeling that that's how Samus is going to look in the next game unfortunately. Dangit I still really like the sharp-looking knees, more green in general, and non-linear shoulder pads of the previous "look" for Samus.

You mean actual bounty hunter-Samus and not "we're just doing this because people like Samus"-Samus?
