SMB3-styled Magmaargh Update

I'm on a roll today! So, are you sick of those cheesy Blargg recolours that are supposed to respresent Magmaargh or Sandmaargh? Well, you'll have to wait for Sandmaargh, but here's a legit Magmaargh just for you, think of it as a taste of what is to come in terms of 3D Land/3D World enemies... Please give credit if you use it. Palette taken from Tonyberry's SMB3 Blargg.

UPDATE: Now includes a Giant Magmaargh. However, it works fine, but it does not affect the player when hit. I can't think of anything else to have it replace that is immune to lava, travels in a straight line and cannot be defeated. If anyone can figure out a better replacement than the Tank Wheels feel free to post it.

That looks really great! I think it suits perfectly for SMB3 magma/volcano levels! I'll download this soon. ;)
Well done, Squishy Rex. :D

Thanks guys! Also I should point out why there are two versions included. The Blargg version is obvious, however, the reason one replaces Eerie, is because Magmaargh also travels in a straight line above lava sometimes like in 3D Land. Since there is no enemy that both acts like a Blargg and then travels forward after surfacing I am giving you guys the best possibility of both worlds. The Eerie ones should work fairly well on a generator too if you're after a constant obstacle.

This surely is a completly new Blaargh going on here. How they Look is just amazing and I am impressed with that.

Thanks bossedit8. :) I've also decided, that because this one was smaller than I wanted it to be, I am making a Magmaargh twice the size of this one. Depending on what it will replace in the editor, I'm hopeful that it will be able to be used alongside these two smaller ones. And as far as that goes, the bigger version will probably march in a line instead of being a Blargg replacement, since larger sprites that replace Blargg don't look to effective and they are extremely hard to dodge.

I hope you make it's stomach twice as long too, there's cutoff on the thing.

As far as the Blargg replacement goes, the cut-off won't be seen when it jumps out of the lava. Blargg doesn't have that problem to begin with and it only looks cut-off while it remains a placed NPC in the editor. Th Eerie one uses a GFXoffset so that removes the cut-off by placing the bottom of the graphic below the lava's image.

Update! This one has the Giant Magmaargh I promised. Please enjoy it, because it took me most of last night and today to finish.

Tank Wheels can be set to playerblock=0 and nohurt=0, can't it? If not that, then the flying airship does that. I've made a Podoboo projectile replace that.

Maybe you could make another version of the giant Magmaargh to replace the Blaarg?

Sure that won't be hard at all, or if you want to do it yourself, simply rename the Giant Magmaargh's sprites to npc-199 and delete everything from the txt file except for the gfxheight, gfxwidth, height and width and you should be fine. And also before I forget, rename npc-101 to effect-104 and delete npc-101's txt file.
