Foreign Languages Subforum?

So, in Joey's ever-growing quest to obtain more power by getting more users on these forums, why hasn't he thought of this?

Here's how I imagine how it would work: under the General Discussion tab in the Board Index, there would be a subforum titled 'Foreign Languages Forum'. In that subforum, there would be different languages such as Spanish, German, French, Chinese, and/or Japanese. In each of those subforums would be subforums 'General SMBX Discussion', 'Levels', and 'Episodes'.

A user who speaks a foreign language could post up a project in the projects subforum, in a foreign language, then when he's through with it, ask a mod to move it to the episodes subforum in the language subforum that's in his/her language.

Please post your thoughts about this below. Remember, if we did have foreign languages subforums, they wouldn't have to follow this specific formula.

Agree with this, it can be hard for those who don't live in english-speaking country (including myself) to "fit" into the community. If I remember right, we had foreign language sections for foreign language speakers at NSMBX, Knux's and Revived, so I don't see the reason why Joey can't add it here.

If this will ever happen, however, I hope we will have russian forum section too. But we will need some extra moderators, who understands those foreign langauges.

This question has been asked a million of times and it's no. Language subforum won't happen like how forum games won't happen.

You could just make different forums entirely for these languages. What's the point in having these language subforums?

Also, how should these get moderated? We'd need mods for these subforums that know the language. And how should you check if these mods do their work correctly?

Also, it creates a border inside the community between the lagnuages, and prevents people from "immigrating".

Like what the past happened to this Subject, it won't happening since later on it can get into an inactivity like in the past on a different Forum.

I'm not sure that the communities of foreign language speakers, such as Spanish speakers, are large enough to justify creating an entire forum for them. I mean, what's the point of creating a forum for just 3 or 4 people. I could be wrong, though.

And what's the point of making a subforum for 3 or 4 people, either?

The reason is? This forum is the most popular you know. It's not just like forum games in this situation.

And the reason is because they almost don't have any activity. You shouldn't be on a English forum when you don't understand English. You can't expect the staff to take responsibility for other people having proper and understandable English by making a sub-forum that's almost never active.
