Hi there, guys!
Some info:
This is my second ever contest entry, and I'm very proud of how it turned out. The update (once I update it) will contain:
- A better introduction to the various gimmicks introduced (rising ground, widening platforms, etc)
- No more sneaky Poison mushroom trap

One question: Why the fuck are you so damn good at making levels?

UNOFFICIAL REVIEW of SUBCON SWAMP by WADDLE DERP
FANTASTIC LEVEL. This one is really awesome.
Design (9.75/10)
This level kept throwing brand new elements at me. From the continuous disappearing/reappearing blocks, to the random sections of blocks that rise out of bottomless pits. The boss was also really unique, as a ghost Shy guy that can go through walls and shoot fireballs. However, the level was pretty short and there was a lack of coins and Power Ups. The level also could use a midpoint. And the thing with the poison mushrooms was mean (but you said you will remove them.) Overall though, this level was very good.
Atmosphere (10/10)
Now this is where the level really shines. The sign at the beginning of the level, the music, and the almost grayscale graphics make the atmosphere of this level seem like haunted woods of some sort. Very nice. The whole thing with the disappearing/reappearing and rising platforms also makes this level feel like there is some other element present. And who is behind it all? A ghost Shy Guy. Granted, the level name could have been more fitting (there is no swamp in this level) but that is only a minor flaw and thus i will not take off any points here.

Overall 9.875/10 (The Best)
This is a very good level! If you remove the minor flaws this level could be a perfect 10!

An unnoficial review on Subcon Swamp by Waddle Derp
Ludwig von Koopa (9.3)
This was a really neat level, I don't know which I liked more, the level design or the atmosphere. Let's start with the atmosphere, it was a spooky SMB2 styled forest level, which is cool in my opinion. The music gave me the creeps for some reason.
The level has got good NPC placement, some well placed Dragon Coins and a good tileset layout, it stays throwing new things at you and was very fun to play.

You seem to have no problems with this level, so why'd you give it a 9.3 and not a 10?

Because I have seen better levels and I don't give them the same score

I do like the whole Concept going on in this Level especially that I didn't really thought of making it by myself like that by appearing Platforms by pressing a Block with a dot (it can be also a light in this case) on it and it turns red once it has been reached the Maximum amount of Blocks placed out. It surely was a very nice idea. The little Boss I fought in this Level was also pretty neat to Encounter and to me it was unique to fight something like that with a Springboard.
