With the approach of 2015 comes the approach of Mario Maker's release, which is Nintendo's answer to unoffical Mario level editors (inlcuding SMBX).

I sometimes wonder how Mario Maker might affect SMBX, and how no-one seems too worried about it.

Will Mario Maker overthrow SMBX? Could the end be near for SMBX? What are we going to do about it? Have I just made you angry by putting that thought in your mind?

For now, SMBX is better in level design than Mario Maker. But in gameplay and variety Mario Maker wins.

IMO Mario Maker is for noobs.

Depends of the person. If they never played or seen the old games or SMBX itself, they won't will be able to design good levels. I don't think you are a noob, but not sure too.

I think Mario Maker is just for fun.
