No, a spider is just a specific type of bot or something. Nothing to be worried about.
EDIT: It's an alternate name for a web crawler (Wikipedia), a bot used for search engine indexing, to be specific.

Spider is a nickname for Google, it's probably a google bot (Ignoring the wiki)

Wouldn't that also mean that it takes stuff from our forum and sends it to the Baidu company???

It's a crawler for Baidu. It has the same color as all of the other bots and it's put there by default; I (or really phpBB, the one who put it there) wouldn't let something malicious onto the forum.
