The sizeable and the blocks look so alike that I can rarely see a difference between them. I've made a version of the sizeable that I think looks better. You can use it if you want.

This looks like a pretty decent level. Now, I want to become a level judge again.. Maybe this time not be so lazy and quit like last time (xP) I'll review this level as my application. So It won't be posted here... until after the choice of whether or not I rejoin is made up. Alright?

Beach of Dismemberment
Aesthetics: 5/10
This level looked decent. I liked the use of SML2 gfx and music. However I have to say that the ground gfx looked really 8-bit-ish and therefore clashed with the 16-bit gfx. I suggest you add some shading to them to make them look a bit more lively. Something that was kinda off was the fact that Mario's swim animation had a different color than his walk/idle sprites and that the small Mario didn't have custom sprites at all. Either you go all the way with making custom sprites for the small Mario too or you could just leave it. The music was in 8-bit, which was okay, I understand that SML2 music is only available like that, but maybe next time use at least SNES music.
NPCs: 5/10
While I appreciate the use of SML enemies like the shark, it got really frustrating at times because you always placed the sharks and fast cheeps in places where it was really hard to almost impossible to dodge them. Either don't put them in those small 2 block high tunnels or make the tunnels wider.
The enemy placement in general was a little bit crowded, but still managable to get through.
I noticed there was only one fly enemy in the entire level which seemed a bit off to me, I would take it out and replace it by an enemy that appears in your level more frequently, like the frog for example.
The coin placement was good and interesting.
The star coins were in generally easy to get places, but as far as I could tell there were only three of them.
Gameplay & Design: 6/10
I liked how there was a change between water and land and how everything was on multiple levels, except for those parts where you were entirely trapped under water (the 2 block high tunnels already mentioned above). The level was a bit short for my taste but still enjoyable. I liked the bonus room that the player could only get to with a fire flower and the Wario to Mario bonus/easteregg thing.
There's not much else to say about this, it was generally a fun standard level without too much of that gimmick stuff, but it was still interesting because of the SML enemies.
5.5/10, moved to Average
