This is one of my older levels that I still have lurking on my computer. This was made back in 2012 for some random contest on NSMBX, and long before the days that I started the TGCA remake - this was originally for my ex-project, The Potion Plight, before I cancelled it for a second time and for good when I realised I can't get anywhere with just another excuse for SMSE gameplay.
I don't mind any reviews for this - in fact, I want to see this level reviewed so I can have a look at what other people think about the level. I don't mind anyone saying that the level's shitty because I know it's shitty, as this was made two years ago.

Did you even tested this
Design usage and Gameplay
The gameplay was very bad and the fact that it is nonlinear makes things even worse. I walked around the level for a hour without even knowing what to do, since there aren't ANY indications about it in the level to progress. The level is like a maze and I didn't finish it since the switches were too hidden and I didn't even know how to get them. There were some areas where you have to spin jump on podoboos to get through, but there was enough lenght from one podoboo and another that I couldn't get through and had to glitch. I didn't like that you have to hit a block and then it disappears, I didn't even understand the purpose if it. I've seen that in the level there were blocks which were 1 block under the ceiling, which is bad because you can glitch there, and some blocks 2 blocks above the floor, which isn't good because new SMBX players might not know how to do a duck jump and easily get a hit. About the design usage, there were also some narrow passages and I dislike that, since you can easily get a hit there too. Also, this level was so much nonlinear that I was lost more than one time. Summarizing, this level has very bad gameplay.
Score: 0/10.
Music and Atmosphere
The music didn't fit well for the level, but it was still decent for a pyramid level. In those few outside areas, the background didn't fit really well, since the tileset of the pyramid and the lava are too bright. Aside from these errors, you made a good job in the atmosphere of this level and there was a good tileset choice, as it fits well for the theme of the level (a pyramid). The level doesn't have any bland areas and the BGOs were placed well and there was some variety in there. Summarizing, the atmosphere of this level was good, but has some erros.
Score: 7/10
NPC Placement
The NPC placement was alright most of the time and gives some challenges, though there were some NPCs which were put in narrow passages and there you can easily get a hit if you aren't good at playing SMBX, which is just unfair. As I said earlier, there were some parts in the level where you have to spin jump on some podoboos to get through, but since they were bad placed, it was very difficult and unfair to get through. I dislike that there are generators of springboards in some random places, I didn't even understand the purpose of it. I also dislike that there isn't much variety on the enemies and that most of them had the same colors of the tileset of the pyramid, but the placement of the enemies was still good overall and gives some good challenges without being unfair. There was a good amount of coins and they were nicely placed. There weren't many power-ups in this level, but the challenges weren't so difficult that the level should've got other power-ups. Summarizing, the NPC placement has its ups and downs.
Score: 6/10
Overall
This level has a good look, but a terrible gameplay. Hope you don't make these kind of levels anymore, castlewars.
Final score: 4.3/10. average level.
