For new users that don't know what spam is

Postby AirSeus » Sat Nov 08, 2014 2:42 pm

Have you ever noticed, that there has never been a what is spam topic for all of those people that don't know what spam is, when I started SMBXing in 2009, I had no clue what spam was so I got banned from it during 2010 in knux's forums.

The definition of spam:

Electronic spamming is the use of electronic messaging systems to send unsolicited messages (spam), especially advertising. As well as sending messages repeatedly on the same site. While the most widely recognized form of spam is e-mail spam, the term is applied to similar abuses in other media: instant messaging spam, Usenet newsgroup spam, Web search engine spam, spam in blogs, wiki spam, online classified ads spam, mobile phone messaging spam, Internet forum spam, junk fax transmissions, social spam, television advertising and file sharing spam.

Spamming remains economically viable because advertisers have no operating costs beyond the management of their mailing lists, and it is difficult to hold senders accountable for their mass mailings. Because the barrier to entry is so low, spammers are numerous, and the volume of unsolicited mail has become very high. In the year 2011, the estimated figure for spam messages is around seven trillion. The costs, such as lost productivity and fraud, are borne by the public and by Internet service providers, which have been forced to add extra capacity to cope with the deluge. Spamming has been the subject of legislation in many jurisdictions.

A person who creates electronic spam is called a spammer.

If you don't understand that:

Spam is basically, allot of useless messages that are a waste of time to read or write.

Don't lock this because you might not know it but too many people out there do not even know that spam exists but still do it!

Oh, stop being negative and pointing out the obvious, some people are lazy y'know. Its like saying that We need level judges, we could tell that by the amount of LJs. And not everyone knows what spam is y'know, take it in conclusion, just because you think everyone that is a new user knows what spam is, some new users are just kids that dont even knw how easy algibra is, that would be a perfect example:

Spamming and algibra would be the two examples:

Kids would not know algibra or spamming and think its hard to understand, but when someone explains it to someone, you would laugh at your younger self that doesn't know what algibra or spamming is.

Okay, how many times a day do you use the term "negative"? Can you accept criticism and 1% negativity from anyone? Plus, it's not like you're not negative. You respond to people with all caps about once a day. Don't tell me you don't.

Lastly, that was a terrible comparison and I could tell you why if you wanted me to.
