I apologize for the lack of creativity on the title. Im certain someone else has used it. Anyway, this is my attempt at a full on episode. Complete with over world map in the vein of SMW. Its pretty bare bones as custom graphics arent found here. All stock graphics and NPCs. I did add some classic 16 bit music. Not much, though. Here is the link to the episode! Its "retrodated" I suppose as its taken me 7 months to complete and the version is 1.3. http://www.mediafire.com/download/24yny ... ations.zip Please, feel free to give any feedback you want. I know its something left to be desired as I was learning to use the program. You can feel the progression as the game goes along. Yet, I feel theres a lot left to be desired. Perhaps Im my harshest critic.

Well, this SMBX Episode looks interesting so far. If I am ready with this Game I am gonna record this Game fully through and so on. Currently it looks nice so far even know there are something that I do not like for example a Venus Firetrap is coming out of a Lava Tile which seems weird.

I did my best to alleviate any kind of forced hits and blind jumps. Really wanted it to feel like something out of Ninendo, but with my ...touch I suppose. The Firetraps only come out of pipes and the occasional Lava. THis is placed in two levels only, I believe.I know it doesnt make sense, but I thought fireballs, lava source etc. Also in that particular level (the final) I wanted it to feel like this is where Bowser builds his tanks. The chains move up and down dipping into the lava on some of the tank wheels. ALmost like a forgery.

You do realize nobody has to use custom graphics in his episode and that image is pretty rude since this is his first episode. Just my option but really uncalled for.

Im not taking offense. I did state that its custom graphics free as I didnt know how to do all of that when I made this. Its my very first completion. Im not sensitive yall lol! I thank you for taking time to play it =D

based on what I saw, there is a lot of clash, you might want
to work on that. The episode was good though.

People often mix up "clash" and "style mixing". Clash is (for example) having a factory background in a desert level. Style mixing is pretty straightforward. It's mixing styles from different Mario games. I think he means Style Mixing, but there's nothing wrong with that (IMO) as long as it looks good.

clash can include style mixing if it doesn't look good. Some of the style mixing was fine, but there were others such as SMB1 special blocks in a SMW themed level.

this is all before I learned how to use custom gfx. So, no. I called it Generations because the styles spanned over time. Be on the look out for my next episode tho! I'm in world 8. Just need to make a new over world map and about 5 more levels.

Looks nice I will definitely try it. But something I do not like is in the 3rd and final screenshot in the castle tank room is hanging wheels, I just don't really like it but it is nice for a first full episode

I was going for a forgery. Kinda like where Bowser is manufacturing the tank wheels...I dunno.
