NYC Busker Arrested for No Reason

Apparently this NYC Busker was arrested for no reason, happened a while back (October 18th) and it sparked my attention since it has to deal with the NYPD and how glorious of a police department they are.

In the video, at around the 2:00 mark, as the officer is reciting the amendments and laws, he says that performers in the subway stations of NYC may collect donations. They are permitted to collect donations, right? Well, the officer stumbles on "permitted" and pretends that it means "prohibited", and after walking away, the busker plays and collects donations as normal. In comes angry officer and forcefully shoves the busker's hand away. Trouble ensues and the officer calls in back-up, and then the busker's guitar is forcefully taken away from him. Whilst the guitar was being taken away, the officer hit the busker in the face with it, although that may have been accidental, he didn't need to use such brute force on the busker, especially when he wasn't doing anything wrong.

The reason the busker was arrested was because he was resisting arrest. That makes perfect sense.

Discuss.

But in all seriousness, why are things like this happening to innocent people? I hereby donate both my middle fingers to the NYPD.

The reason being is because the NYPD has the power and the right to do that since they are part of law enforcement and, unless they killed somebody, their actions are not seen as offenses as something could have offended the officer that didn't happen to get recorded, so the video evidence of the officer harassing the busker can't be considered full evidence without proof from a third party.

Unless the officer has a really good lawyer or he can tell a lie easily, the busker can sue him for harassment and arrest without reason. The busker had all the rights to be playing in the subway station, the officer even said that when reciting the busker's rights.

I don't have any objections. I don't want to be tackled and tazed for whistling down the street.

For you kiddies out there who don't know what irony is, here are three examples of CORRECTLY USED irony:
A firetruck bursts into flames.
A policeman gets arrested.
A man tells his daughter to not walk into the street without looking both ways first. The man is then hit by a car.
