Self explanatory thread. Have you ever played a game that marked your childhood forever? I sure have, it isn't a console game though; Happyland Adventures, made by the Free Lunch Design team. Man, I still play it sometimes, and god the soundtrack just revives my old times.

Super Mario Allstars. This is one awesome Mario Game I have ever grew up with and still play till this day on the original console even know I was bad at the younger times. Now I can beat that game with ease.

Gex 64 was probably my biggest childhood game. I didn't understand half the things that he said, but man my 8-year-old brain sure found them hilarious! I've always liked the wacky TV-themed worlds and collectible stuff, as well as all the abilities he had. I have more nostalgia and memory of that game as a kid than almost anything else I've played.
I played my fair share of Super Mario All-Stars and 64, too. Never got far in any of the All-Stars games, but I enjoyed switching between them. I got 117 stars in 64, but couldn't for the life of me figure out what 3 I missed (granted, this is before I could use the Internet). I also believed a rumor that the cannon outside Peach's castle took you to Bowser's castle as an additional hub, but alas, it will forever feel like an unreachable dream world.
I also played some Super Mario World and Donkey Kong Country with my dad. I never got farther than Forest of Illusion, but I did manage to beat all of DKC's levels (but not 100%).
I used to be big into Pokemon, too. I got as far as beating the Elite Four and getting my starter to level 100 in Blue, Gold, and Ruby, but never had patience for it beyond that. Played plenty of Pokemon Stadiums 1 and 2 as well, while being disappointed that Colosseum didn't have any sort of rental match mode...
Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong 64 were two games I could never get far in, but absolutely loved. Imagine my joy when coming back to them almost a decade later and actually being able to complete them.

Donkey Kong, man. I grew up with the original trilogy, and they are BY FAR the best platformers ever, even now (Though I'll say Tropical Freeze did recapture the perfection of the originals very well)

My Games I played in my Early years.
Crash Bash,Crash Bandicoot TWOC, Spyro the Dragon, Crash Bandicoot 2, Crash Bandicoot Warped, Crash Bandicoot GBA Games. These games are so cool playing and playing again. The Crash Bandicoot Games for GBA had more memories with than the PS1 Games. It sucks that I have to play them on an emulater instead of the real Gameboy, PS1,PS2. I recommend these games especially Crash Bandicoot TWOC.

The first time I played "real" video games (as opposed to edutainment PC games) was at my parent's exercise place, in the kids' area, when I was 4 years old.
They had a GameCube there, and the first games I played in particular were Mario Party 4, Super Monkey Ball, and Wario World.
Playing those games (especially Mario Party 4, which was easily the most popular) in that environment was kind of awesome. There was a very "my uncle works at Nintendo" attitude there since few people owned the games themselves, so it was was to falsify information.
I received a GameCube of my own, with Mario Party 4 included on my 5th birthday and it was my favorite game for a long time.

The first games I had were NSMB, SM64DS and M&L: Bowser's Inside Story, all for the DS, obviously. I played these 3 games every day and I still exactly remember all the areas in the games.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that I did played Megaman 3 for the NES mostly but died extremely often when I was younger. Now it's just a history since I am far better... of course.

Any of the N64 Rareware Collect-A-Thons, so DK64 and Banjo Kazooie/Tooie. Also a lot of Nintendo games, and PC when my brother introduced me to WC3. Heh, I remember him teaching me how to play that.
