It was okay here. The level lacked NPCs and was really bland at some point. You just had to walk. Also the water shouldn't be set to quicksand, it takes too much time to get out if you jump into it purposely to swim a bit. Also there wasn't much platforming and bouncyness in the level, which actually makes a level fun. You completely mised that point. The level was just straightforward without making any fun at all. So add some bouncyness and bigger variety of NPCs plus some unlinearity. At least it wasn't ridiculously hard ;) Level length fits good for a project, but definitely too short as a level for the levels forum.

So yeah, the design. This level was linear, pretty much flat and didn't have anything special in it. Well, the last point isn't quite true. There was a nice flashing gimmick, after all. It appeared every few seconds all over the level. Beside that nice "gimmick" (Has been seen many times already, but not like this as far as I know) the level had more flaws. Coin placement and enemy placement wasn't really good, as well as the power-up placement in the level. There weren't many question blocks and no variety of tileset. However, that isn't really needed but it would look nicer. Oh, this is getting to much to the visual appealing point, lemme continue with the flaws. As an example look at this:

You placed the coins behind these fire spitting lotuses (Are they even called like that?) many times in the level. Seriously, that doesn't look cool and it is a bit hard to get them sometimes. Especially if you are a completionist. (Wrong word or mispelled, I guess?) Would be better if you placed the coins over these plants or just get a rid of them. Something else would be this:

Focus at the bush please ;) You did this two times in the level if I recognize it rightly. Just place them a block to the right or just turn auto-align off and place them into the blocks. Both looks better. Oh, this was about the visual appealing, again :P
Well yeah, if we take these points out, you've actually managed to design a cool level. Just sometimes you've placed the blocks too high, that you could jump off-screen easily. I already said the level is really flat at some points? I guess I have to repeat myself then, since this is actually important. Place some NPCs and question blocks over these flat points. Because theye are really flat and bland :P The level didn't have any stars, dragon coins or anything else that you could collect.

It won't actually make any sense to write something bad about this point, because I already mentioned the flaws in the design :P But yeah, fix the bushes and add some variety to the tileset. Like, wood blocks or something. You are only using a simple tileset all over the level. Nowadays people want to see eye-candies everywhere, why not start with it? ;) Anyways, you did a great job with the atmosphere of the level. Everything is blue (Except the rainbow birdies) and the flashing gimmick makes the "negative" feeling even nicer. However, I'd suggest to make the outlines of the NPCs and blocks white, and the background dark. That'd look really negative and awesome in my opinion. But welp, it's just my opinion, you don't need to do what I write :) This is the strongest point in your level, good work :>

Sounded like an orchestrated version from something like a movie. Didn't really fit well, but sounded nice. Destroyed the atmosphere a bit in my opinion.

This is probaly the only part you are going to read, if not, you will only look at the final score lol. Anyways, though your level is filled with so many flaws and lame-ness it has some good points, too. Especially the gimmick in combination with the graphics was nice, but nothing astounding. Having something astounding in a level should be the average point in the design nowadays in this community. But hey, I don't really care, you still get some points for the nice combination. (Gimmick + Graphics) Music sucked badly for this level, as mentioned above, destroyed actually everything. But that wasn't as bad as the gameplay. The biggest contra in this level is the gameplay, because of the flat and bland spots in this level. And as mentioned earlier, the visual appealing is the biggest plus, but still not worth to be called "great" or "amazing". If you take my suggestions serious and implement them to your level, this could turn out really great ;)
