What's wrong with my custom music?

I'm having problems with the custom music. Here's all what I do:

I copy the mp3 file and paste it in the same folder my level is. Then, I copy its name EXACTLY as it is, paste in the custom music space and add the ".mp3". These are the requirements to use the custom music. When I do this, some musics I try don't work.

Do you have a solution to my problem? Am I forgeting something? Please, help!

Maybe you put your custom music in your level folder? Don't do that or the level won't recognise that there is a custom music. Instead, paste it in your level folder.

This may can the be case of having a Music that is too strong to let it play on SMBX. There are other Music Files though that takes quite a while in order to load it due to being a bit stronger than regular Music...

I already tried to wait for 5 or 10 minutes, but nothing.

No. I always paste the mp3 file in the folder that the level is.

Then either the Music File is broken, it's too strong to let it used on SMBX or it's on a different File like ".wav" or similarity to that.

The most probable is the second option.

H-pyttoSS, don't post many times in a row. Edit your post when nobody has replied after you. I merged your posts.

Well, it may can be of the filesize of a Music file or the Music itself is way to complex for SMBX to run. I do have that issue in my Windows XP back then that if I download something from Mediafire, all of the Music Files inside them simply does not want to run for whatever reason. Maybe the resources of specific sites can't handle the PC or something that simply won't work... hard to tell.

What music do you try? Where did you get them from?

This may sound ridiculous, but try putting your MP3 file into a "music to MP3" converter, like this one:

http://audio.online-convert.com/convert-to-mp3

If that doesn't work, and there are no decimal places in your music file, I don't know how to help you.

Yo Imaynotbehere4long, Thanks a lot! In the first file (that wasn't working) which I converted to "itself", it worked perfectly! Yo, thanks again!
