It may be a bit early asking this as CC9 has only just gotten underway, but there was a similar topic on this, but it was on speculation of the theme of ToB7.

What do you guys think the theme of ToB8 will be? Here's a run-down of all the other ToB episodes with their respective themes below, as a reminder:

ToB7: SMB2
ToB6: Metroid
ToB5: SMB3
ToB4: SMB3
ToB3: SMB2/SMB3
ToB2: SMB3
ToB1: SMB3

Me personally, I'm expecting to see an SMW-styled tower. Many of the ToBs feel quite dark, especially ToB6, even though ToB1 was more cheery with the bright graphics, and it will make a nice change.

I surely want a SMW Styled one because SMB3 is overused already and the next best thing is SMW so I choose that.

Maybe smb2 again or smb3,but i preffer smb1 to be.
But i care more for the best level to don't be smb3 again.

SMB3 is already on our overused state... well, SMBX itself is mostly SMB3 and SMW based so no surprise there.

I'd like to see a SMW tower full of really good graphics from Valtteri.

Man, Castlewars, you stole the opportunity from me to post another "What do you think the theme of TOB? will be?" topic. I was going to wait a little bit but it looks like you beat me to it.

And if I had to guess, I'd say it'd probably be Super Mario World. We've already used SMB3, SMB2, and Metroid. After TOB 8, we can probably expect to see SMB1, and after that Zelda 2.

SMB1-styled tower will have a better style than SMW.

I'd guess SMB1 or SMW, probably SMW. Just because most of them have been SMB3, and the last was SMB2, so it's time for a SMB1 or SMW one.

To be honest, I think Valtteri is starting to experiment with different styles for ToB episodes. If you think about it, ToB7 was SMB2, and ToB6 was Metroid. The rest were all SMB3 towers (apart from ToB3, which was both SMB2 and SMB3). This probably suggests that ToB8 won't be yet another SMB3 tower.

I'd really like to see something unique. Nothing really Mario-themed. That'd be really nice I guess.

^^ I think so too.
Maybe some theme from an other game like Kirby,Zelda or metroid would be nice.

I think you're forgetting we're taking turns with Quill on who makes the tower. We've been doing this from TOB4 (made by Quill) onwards. I made TOB5, then Quill made TOB6, I made TOB7 and Quill is making TOB8 now.

I also want a SMB tower. SMB is lost by some users.

However, i have the presentiment that SMW go be the theme.

Huh. I didn't know that. I thought you and Quill worked on each episode together. That would explain why TOB7 and TOB5 felt so different from TOB6.

So, you've probably seen this topic, Quill. Just go ahead and start making and requesting SMW Graphics for the hub. Also, for TOB8, it would be nice if it was an actual tower. You could have the basement be the joke levels, the 1st floor be tier 2, the middle floor be empty, and have the tiers between tier 2 and the final tier be little towers sticking off the main tower that you access from the middle floor. The top floor can then be the final tier, and the roof can contain the final boss.

No offense, but I thought every one knew this!

SMB 1`Pleeeeeaaaaaseeee, o feel like it should be that way, i mean, we had smb3 to much, we had smb 2 last time, we had metroid, and i don't like smw.

Actually SMB1 because the expansion pack for it is out so we may as well utilize it.

For me, hopefully it will be either smb1, smw or yi styled
