For one, I didn't even know people were saying that. Shit, I was hoping people WOULDN'T say that.
For two, I've been saying I have intent to main Robin since his reveal trailer.
For three, the game has been out for two days people saying any character is "best in the game" is bullshit as no one has the necessary experience to make such a statement. When Brawl came out Meta Knight was initially considered low tier.

Edit: on seconds though, why are we limited to a silly "you can only pick one character for the entire tournament" rule. They did it at the smash invitational becase they wanted to show off as many characters as possible, not because it's the best way to organize it lol.

Because it's fun to be able to associate each player to a certain character as well as giving that player an opportunity to get good with one specific character before playing.

Also Igno why is this on launch date nobody will have time to unlock characters if it's on launch. smh

The unlock conditions seem rather lenient this time around. As long as the person checks what the unlock condition for their character is, they should be able to complete it in time easily.

If they have too much shit to do to play the game for half an hour tops and unlock their character, they have too much shit to do to participate in this competition.

Not to mention that every character has alternative unlock methods which allow you to unlock them directly rather than having to go through all the matches.

That and neither method takes that long to do anyhow. If you suck at fighting CPUs and hate challenges in general, then just die in the versus matches.

I think it's just easier to point at the word "Launch" in the thread title. I don't mind doing it the day after release. I'm just mostly concerned for people who don't pick it up within a day.

I just don't understand the rush.
Why not give people time to really get to know every character, so you know exactly what you're facing? There's no rush.
