SMBX.ORG Sm4sh Launch Tournament

What is this?
I'm organizing a tournament for Super Smash Brothers for 3DS starting the Saturday after its launch. Anyone in this community is welcome to participate by joining in this thread.

Rules?
The tournament will be double-elimination. If you don't know what that means, look it up. Winners bracket will be 1v1, no-items, Omega mode, random stage. Losers bracket will be 1v1, all items, normal mode, random stage.
Each participant will, when they join, choose one character from the roster that they will use for the entire tournament. If your character is unlockable, it is your responsibility to have them unlocked in time for your match.
Most match times will be accommodating EST. If you are drastically off of EST and tend to be inflexible time wise, please don't join. I will try my hardest to make every match work.

It would probably be fair to stick with the default movesets for those that don't use/know the custom movesets(and would therefore be caught off guard in an unfair situation).

No customizations. It's an unfair advantage to those who have unlocked more/better moves by that point.

OK, I assumed so, just checking since the original post didn't mention it. By the way, could you host the tournament a day or two after the game release so folks have time to unlock their fighters?

Edit: on seconds though, why are we limited to a silly "you can only pick one character for the entire tournament" rule. They did it at the smash invitational becase they wanted to show off as many characters as possible, not because it's the best way to organize it lol.

This and I don't own a 3DS or Sm4sh yet sadly. OH WELL, I WISH I COULD PARTICIPATE.

Also Igno why is this on launch date nobody will have time to unlock characters if it's on launch. smh

I want to say start it Monday because I really do want to just play before anyone has their feet set on the ground, but EEH. Some of us aren't that fortunate. Like f'instance, I want my sm4sh as a physical copy, and there's always the possibility that my game stores might screw me over.

I would say a week at best, that way people could have enough practice and can unlock the characters they need. In addition, not everybody could do monday due to school.
