I've done about 3 playthroughs of this already, it truly is a fantastic game, and I love it.

My first playthrough, I finished the game at level 39 (I think it was 39) as an Orc.
My second playthrough, I was a level 3 High Elf, and I didn't get too far.
My third playthrough, I was a level 15 Wood Elf, I think I was almost finishing the last questline.

Skyrim one of the best free world games i saw.
I have it since 1 year now and still didn't maked the stoy because i just keep on walking through the fields and killing thiefs who want to steal all my money like a fish.
I only have 1 char that is an High Elf level 60 already and everytime i go for a walk and someone stupid comes and talks to me or says "OMG HIGH ELF" gets killed.
I kill almost everyone because they wanna die anyway soon. Also random dragons.

The only 2 DLC I would really recommend getting is the Dawnguard (which adds vampires and crossbows, and a whole new questline), and Dragonborn (which is an entire expansion for the game adding a crap ton of new content). The third DLC, Hearthfire, isn't too worth it, all it does is allow you to make a house where you can store stuff in a chest, you can also adopt 2 kids and get a wife.

I plan on getting the Legendary Edition eventually.

It seems like an amazing feat that Skyrim came out in 2011 and it's still dominating GameFAQs for "Most Popular Games". I bought it for my partner for XBox 360 and she's outright obsessed with it, and plays it more than like any other game she has. The way that she plays it sort of opened my eyes, too. My opinion of games in general is that they should be, first and foremost, quality gameplay experiences, but Skyrim is proof that they don't have to BE just that to be enjoyable. She actually treats it like an adventure and becomes really immersed into it, to the point where she occasionally talks about stuff in the game like it's actually happening. That's the kind of experience that I usually get from books with plots already written and done where all you have to do is read them—the idea that that could be replicated at all in an interactive 3D environment where you make choices AS the protagonist really shows how far games have come.

I generally play its antithesis, known as Dark Souls, which is also way up there in quality but a very different type of game that appeals more to my tastes.

Don't feel bad for being late; I've been camping for a steam sale for a long time. I'm one of those people that thinks game developers deserve to be paid, but I'm not paying full price if I don't have to, and I've had a hard time justifying the purchase when I have so many other games that I can choose to install and play that I've already bought.

So this game is getting remasterd on PS4,XB1, and PC. I got really excited when I saw that this is gonna be free to PC players who already own the game.
Then I fell down and cried when I read this.
Skyrim Special Edition will be available free of charge to PC players who already own Skyrim and the complete Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn DLC expansions on Steam. It is also free to players who own the Legendary Edition in Steam.
I can dream................

I was really hoping Skyrim remastered would have co-op support, but at least I can download mods on my Xbox One. :(

Just got the game yesterday, so excited to play. I got the Legendary Edition so I'll automatically get the remastered version when it comes out.
