Okay, I've got a bit of a problem here. I want to use a custom song in my level, but that won't work. I pasted the file into the level folder. I typed in the filename + extension. I clicked custom. Nothing happened at all. Help, anyone?

If it isn't mp3 it wont work and it if is, the file might be too complex.

But they're not recommended since they take up immense file space and they're a bit buggy, so Arriator, if you really are using wav, don't, please.

Is it in the level's folder, or the same folder as the level? It only works if it and the level are in the same folder. You'll also need to briefly change the music in the level to refresh it, then change it back to custom.

Well, when I edit stuff I can't save as mp3, and converting the file makes SMBX unable to play it.
If I'm not using anything straight from YouTube it has to be a .wav.

Try opening the program with
Audacity and exporting it as an mp3 on default settings. Sometimes the bitrate of the original mp3 isn't compatible with SMBX.

First off, I use Audacity for the editing.
Except this happens:
I installed that .dll and chose its location but for some reason it wont let me export as mp3

Did you add ".mp3" at the end in the white bar where you add the Music Title in? That is necessary to completly link to the file that is mp3.
