SMW Bowser statue?

I read somewhere that the SMW Bowser statue has a glitchy hitbox and that you can still be hit by fireballs when standing on it, meaning it should be avoided and that the SMB3 Bowser statue should be used instead. Is this actually true, and if so, can it be fixed with NPC codes?

You deal damage while standing on a SMW Bowser Statue and that is because that the Game still thinks you are falling, means that your hitbox of the player is somewhat more down instead of your regular graphical Hitbox. This can be easily noticed once you are on a wooden platform or on a Switch platform while lineriding on it and if a bullet bill comes with via height of the lines it can be noticed that he doesn't hit you because of your hitbox being a bit more at the bottom than usual.
No idea how to fix that though.

I would suggest replacing the SMB3 Bowser statue with the SMW Bowser statue and using it like that if this is a problem (though I hadn't heard about this before now). It should probably fix the issues.

Never happened to me before. It might be bogus, it might be something that rarely happens. I wouldn't worry about it.

I experimented with this after encountering the bug within one of my own levels. One solution you can use is to take a solid NPC (i.e. 58), make it invisible (black graphic, white mask), and only make it 2 pixels high (but as wide as the statue). If you place that on top of the statue, you should be able to stand safely above the flames. If that doesn't work, try making the NPC 4 pixels high, or even 6. At some point, it will work, but you may appear to be standing a few pixels above the statue in some cases.
