Welcome to my first project, Mario's time adventure (MTA for short)!
This giant episode is seperated into three parts:

-Past: You will travel through an old Mushroom Kingdom, a fairly linear wolrd where a few Toads are present (Though old Mario, old Luigi and old Peach are nowhere to be seen cause they weren't born).
With the upcoming new version, there will be 2 stars in each level: one for collecting all 5 of the Ace/Yoshi coins and one hidden within the level.
This time around, I'll be extremely careful for the clashing, so no more Yoshi's Island rocks in a smb1 underground area!

-Present: You will explore the Mushroom Kingdom you all know in a very non-linear game. It's going to be much better graphically speaking and the levels will be quite big for the most part.

-Future: This one is a secret, play the game if you want to see (when it'll be out!)

Story
Spoiler: show
Mario and Peach are relaxing at Mario's home when suddenly, a mysterious creature kidnapped the princess and send Mario and his house back in the Past. It's up to Mario to save her...again, but it's should be easy for our favorite plumber!
Unfortunately for Mario, he'll soon realise that this little rescuing mission hides a much bigger conflict than he originally thought...

Work is still going...somewhat, I replaced all enemies npc by their Present counterpart (and the folder just got a loooot bigger) and I'm still doing the overworld map and...that's basically all I have for this week. I hope you're all having fun with my project, even though it's my very first one!

I've updated a small part of the Past (the character blocks in 1-1 and 1-Star to be precise) and the first world of the Present is out! Progress is going a lot smoother than I thought so on the next update, I'll probably post screenshots for world 2 and 3.

Not bad for a first project. There is a lot of things to learn, so you are going to need some help. I was just as bad when I started out making projects. If you want to, Private Message me if you want any custom graphics. That will enhance you project and extend the limits of ideas. Oh, and also, you don't have to do this, but stay away from style mixing (which is 2 things from different games in the same room). Doing that kind of makes the project a little less awesome. I will definitely play this once it's done. Have fun!

Thanks for the advices goombaguy, though the cool thing with multiple parts project like mine is that you can fix your mistakes when working on the other parts. As for the lack of custom graphics, it's only for the Past part, because trust me, there's a LOT of custom graphics in the rest of the game. Honestly, I feel that the Past levels aren't exactly the best I can do. I mean, 95% of them were made in 2011 when I was a total noob and that's why I was unsure about releasing this project. Here's a screenshot of a level I started yesterday (which is in the final part of the game).

A bit better than the other screenshots, don't you think?
As for the clashing, I am aware of this and I'm trying to limit it. It sucks that I learned what it was when I was done replaying my levels. Oh well, I'll be more careful with the other two parts (seriously why did I put Yoshi's Island rocks in my smb1 underground part of the first level??).

Well I think that's pretty much it! I'll send you private messages if I ever need more graphics (which i probably will).
Oh and I might redo the Past if I ever finish this project!

That future (?) screenshot looks really impressive. I don't have the time for it right now, but I'll try this out ASAP.

Well sorry for the lack of recent updates, you can blame school for that (and a little bit of lazyness).

I've decided to take a break on the Present and started working on my Past remake. I wasn't really proud of my old work and once I saw the smb1, 2 and 3 expanded pack (thank you Sednaiur!), I realised that this was the right moment to start over the 1st part of my episode.

I've remade the first level and here's a little comparison between the old and new design:

So that's pretty much it! I'll try to update the progress section whenever I can!
Also thanks Flying Brick, it took me hours to find the graphics for that level (which isn't progressing in the slightest but whatever...).

Sorry, this is a solo project so I'm the only one who makes levels (unless I get a major lack of inspiration or something at some point). You can still help with graphics though since I suck at making those. But I'm just fine right now so I don't really need help making levels. Thanks for asking!

Yay for late updates! Looks like I've finally been able to take a break from my new and shiny Wii U!

Anyway, world 1 is done and it definitely took a while since the levels were really really old. They all look waaay better now and I also fix some level design problems in most of them (especially the puzzle/maze level).
Here's the remaining screenshots from the first castle, which went into some huge changes:
