Hey everyone, it's KoolKat! I'm here to present my first-ever 100% completed episode from 2011, Super Mario Birthday Island!
I made it to protest the long, winding, nonlinear levels with sparing power-ups and unfair difficulty that were loaded with CGFX of every kind that were popular back in the day. This level features 9 short levels with as much fun I can possibly pack into such a short 100% vanilla episode. I've updated it with scenery and a few things to make it more interesting, but the main details remain the same.

Story:
Spoiler: show
Mario and the gang are at the Twin Islands on vacation, and it's Mario's birthday! To his surprise, he wakes up to find the princess has been kidnapped.... again! Fortunately, Mario knows that there is a suspicious castle on the farther island. He sets off with his friends to save Peach..... again!

Yeah I agree. Anyway, I played through the whole thing. Pretty good. Nice background and it wasn't all random. But the level and episode itself was to short. :(

That was the main focus of this episode, was short vanilla levels of high quality.

Eh, I may do something to fix that, or just add Underwater Utopia to the mix.

Yeah, also, do you know how to add custom music, or did you just use all original music for this episode on purpose?

Well, the episode was supposed to be 100% vanilla (also note that I made this in 2011)

Well, I'm working on Pyramid of Mysteries right now. I also had a cancelled project, Super Mario: Shadow Epidemic.

I read this as I look at this world map consisting of two giant squares with 9 levels randomly dotted on them.
That is some high quality stuff right there.
