Can't wait for it. I beat this, but only by speed-running it.

The boss was... interesting. I killed it by abusing the axe. And that's why Toad is the fastest playable character, kids!

Haha, the axe was the only way possible to kill him.
So spam away!

The word "abused" was the operative word. I just held it above my head and kept up with the bus.

Any gimmick ideas for part 2? It's a gunfire / military-esque level.

Well, you could make a level based off of the propeller block flamethrower....

Make it have loads of tanks and airships, with cannonballs and bullet bills flying everywhere.

Review - Koopa Lake

What I Liked
-MUSIC AND TILESETS ARE GREAT HONESTLY
Surprisingly, this track went well with the bootiful tilset and background choices you picked
-While difficult, it was fun!

What I Didn't Like
-Enemies right at the starting section? Yikes
I'd do it like this. That way if the player gets up to get coffee (like me :P) they don't die instantly.
-THERES SO MANY CHASING KOOPAS WHYYYY
-Not enough powerups
I'll be the first to admit, I'm HORRIBLE at these kind of levels. And honestly, just because you have challenges doesn't mean you still can't add in some more powerups for people like me that are horrible at these kinds of levels
-I couldn't beat the level??

Atmosphere: the initial music choice really set a hectic shooter like mood, but the change to metroid music kinda broke it. I would've kept it constant throughout, nonetheless though. 7/10

Gameplay: it was hard, but i was in a good mood so i didn't end up throwing the controller. like i said, I'd make an alternate "more powerups" version for people like me who are horrid at these types of levels. but for some reason I couldn't catch up to the bus and couldn't beat the level. also, it could've benefitted from some more paths to take 5/10

NPC Placement: npcs were dicks at times, and one of those giant pirahna plants i couldn't even get through so i had to cheat. 6/10

Graphics: honestly, the tileset and background choices were great. plenty of bgo's for me to gawk at too 10/10

Overall Score: 7/10, i dont think this deserved average in the first place but it does still need alot of improvements before it can be put in the best. luckily these improvements are but simple ones

PS, 666th post ;)

DA NUMBAH OF DA DEVIL!!11!

@Radishl: Nice level by the way. There's a cutoff between one of the hills on that screenshot though. Other than that it looks pretty good.
