The question is the title so yeah I was thinking about my project and It just seems that I'm not ready for a project so I want to cancel it. But how do I delete it?

You don't delete it. You request it to get locked.

However, if you do delete it by pressing that X on the top right of your post, you can't delete the replies that other users left, so it would look like the first person that replied to your project thread would have been the one that created the thread that you actually made in the first place.

Pretty confusing, and I can't explain things well, sorry.

If I delete it, you will lose posts for that so a better solution is to lock it, as @Kep already said.

Three ways:

-pm a mod/admin
-in your thread's title put (LOCK PLEASE)
-post a reply in your thread and ask a mod/admin to lock it. likely they will come and do as you say.

Successfully Locked your Project Topic. Tecnically a regular Member can't lock Topics. Only the one who has Moderation access can do it like I am right now on specific Forum Categories and every Global Mods and Admins.

You can only delete a topic post if no one has replied to it. I don't think there's a time element, but there might be.
But yeah, you should just request a lock usually.

You can request the staff to lock it or delete it for you.
