I've had enough. I'm out of here.

I've had it. I can only take so much before I finally give up. Well done, folks. You've actually managed to drive
me out. So now here's what finally led me to leaving at last.
This link explains all. It's a chat log on what appears to be Joey's stance on the community as a whole, and I'm completely fine with that - but what I'm not completely fine with is what is said about me.
Let me go into detail about what I find wrong about this:
- • Firstly, there's the obvious part where they're talking about me behind my back. I've expressed my distaste towards this happening to anyone for a while now, and I'm really annoyed to see people do it anyway. I have no interest in being part of a community which does this.
• Then we have this specific quote:
<@Joey> blueoak, BTB, ZVoid, and sleepy (to an extent) are what i like to call "people who come from knuxforums and expect its atmosphere"
This is entirely incorrect as up until this forum was created I spent most of my time in SMBXR, not Knux's. This is another instance of both Joey not caring enough about something relatively important in SMBX and saying false things about me.
• Another quote from later on.
<@Joey> "i'm an admin at knux's and smbxr so i should be calling the shots"
This one is actually true, but the very next day after I said that (which mind you I only did once, then Valtteri said that no one should have full power) I explained that I was tired and having a bad day beforehand and immediately apologized, agreeing with Valtteri. Either Joey didn't care enough to remember this detail or he intentionally left it out to make me look bad.
• A third quote.
<@Joey> every time i would do something he wouldn't agree with, we would argue to the point where he would get angry and walk away
This is false. You did indeed to things I disagreed with but all that came from it was me saying I disagreed and then you completely ignoring me. Considering that those discussions were important to how the community would be, being annoyed was justified. But the only person walking away from any argument was you, and it still is you.
Here I have a smaller paste from within it all. I have a few points to make from this alone, so here they are:
- • Firstly, I did work hard for it and certainly didn't only spread that one line. I posted multiple paragraphs discussing why I should get the position whilst caring enough about helping these forums to not be revising for my first GCSE (which by the way had me panicking throughout the whole thing and I don't even think I've done well so thanks for that). So no, Yoshibrothers wasn't the only person who worked hard to try and get the position. Too bad neither of us got it anyway. I don't think spreading a joke that Cloud made and that only Bomber here would understand would get me to the very top alongside Natsu (who by the way should have the position).
• Secondly, I wasn't exactly the only angry person when I didn't get the job. I wasn't even that angry in the first place as I assumed that the others would do a good job anyway (which at least GhostHawk has clearly displayed).
• Lastly is Joey claiming I was "simultaneously badmouthing me behind my back". I'm finding it difficult to put how disgusting saying that is into words. I've always spent so much time trying to not have people talking about others behind their back while trying not to do so myself, and then I see that? Of all the things he could have said, that angers me the most. And he certainly knows I don't like it if he pays enough attention.
So to everything on that log saying that we should all give Joey a chance: No. I've gave him enough time to prove to me that he won't treat me like this and he's blew it time and time again. I wanted to like this place and stay here. I really did, and I still want to because I still have friends here. But I just can't with Joey going around and giving me what he does. Expect me to still possibly submit to some contests like Darkonius will, but that's all you'll see from me. So I may as well say it.

I agree. Joey needs to shape up on this forum or it could fall apart. I agree that members (Especially staff members) should not speak about others behind their backs, but instead allow them to listen to the conversation and allow them to take in what others have said and improve their ways (if it is negative).
I completely respect you for deciding to leave the community even though you had such strong bonds that stopped you from even thinking about it. I believe that Joey has to shape up and man up if he want's to continue running this forum without the community crumbling. I certainly believe that Knux deserves to run this community way more than Joey does because he has chosen his staff carefully and enforces the rules in a strict but civil manner. He deserves to run this forum WAY more than Joey does because of his staff selection and they way they do their job.
I personally am gonna miss you here but at least we can still chat on Knux's forum and CNF.
Consider this a wake up call to Joey and his staff. Don't ban members for personal reasons, and enforce the rules in a civil manner.
Valtries out.

Well, Knuxforum was very lenient. People expected this site to be just like it I guess. SMBXR was a place where the staff was just babysitting many users because we thought the SMBX Community wouldn't react well to stricter rules.
I'm sorry to see you leave. You've been one of my best friends here along with Bomber57 and others.

I think Joey should give out his reasoning more, that makes him more trustworthy. He also needs to let people discuss past events like, hacking, spamming, etc. It lets people get it out of their systems...

<@Joey> people seem to equate "Joey doesn't like my idea" with "Joey isn't listening to me"
<@Joey> also they equate "Joey didn't implement my suggestion" with "Joey isn't listening to me"
This is basically the problem with the community nowadays.
Blueoak, Joey wasn't badmouthing you on your back or anything, he pointed out his honest opinion regarding why wouldn't you be fit for the job. There's a solid difference between pointing out a certain opinion about someone and badmouthing that someone on his/her back. The phrase "while simultaneously badmouthing me behind my back" certainly may feel like something he should have mentioned to you face to face. The real problem here, is that neither of you listen to each other, worse, is that you guys might not even realize this, and blame the other one. E.g: You both say that the other one is annoyed/annoys you and later on walks away.
Both of you have problems trying to take the other's opinion into consideration, or so appears to be the case. Blueoak, you might not read this, you might not even care about this single post, but know that an opinion will never be more than that, just. a mere. opinion. The same applies to what the userbase has to say. Joey is open for ideas from the userbase, but once he says he is open for ideas, we somehow take it for "Joey will implement one of our ideas" or "Joey is going to do what I want". And nope, it's not that. Open for ideas != Implement your ideas.
That's all I have to say here. If you get the idea or not depends on you (plural).

I was there for this discussion, and I can truly say nobody was bad mouthing anyone. Joey was just offering his stances on the staff team and the community, and he also wasn't the one who pulled you into the conversation with Elsah and Yoshibrothers.
TangledLion wrote:I think Joey should give out his reasoning more, that makes him more trustworthy. He also needs to let people discuss past events like, hacking, spamming, etc. It lets people get it out of their systems...
Read the log, Joey explains why he makes the decisions he does which explains his reasoning with blueoak as well as other members.

This post basically summarizes the conversation had, and outlines an important problem with anyone who has an idea here and if it isn't implemented.

I still think Natsu, YB or Blue would've been a better moderator than Kley, who, as I am told, "works behind the scenes."

This entire topic is a case in point of most of the quotes you've presented.
But since you're not going to listen to me, I'll just wait for another staffer to post here.

I don't want to listen to anyone else talk.
I want you to defend yourself, not have others do it for you.

You say that as if I make a habit of having other people defend me. I don't do that, it's just that I get tired of arguing with people when it isn't worth it.
<@Joey> he started to get cocky really quickly during the days of the smbx council
<@Joey> "i'm an admin at knux's and smbxr so i should be calling the shots"
<@Joey> is, to some extent, what he said
<@Joey> and then
<@Joey> every time i would do something he wouldn't agree with, we would argue to the point where he would get angry and walk away
<@Joey> then the staff election happened
<@Joey> and he "worked so hard for it"
<@Joey> and then got INCREDIBLY pissed when he didn't get the position
<@Joey> then he would talk about how he wanted to be moderator and stuff
<@Joey> while simultaneously badmouthing me behind my back
<@Joey> so like, i have no reason at all to promote blueoak to anything
This sums up the problems I have with you.
Blueoak wrote:You've actually managed to drive me out.
Can you, like, get off your high horse? You're no better than anybody else here.
If you don't like people talking about you when you're not around, the only thing I can say is that you're in for a rude awakening in the real world. It's not like I was badmouthing you behind my back (like you do about me, if I may remind you), I was just stating opinions and facts. Nowhere did I insult you or do anything of the sort.
People talking about you happens. I'm not sure why you're surprised.

If you actually read the post you'd have been able to respond without making me laugh.
And when I said "You've actually managed to drive me out." I was referring to that it's not easy to drive me out of somewhere.
Thanks for the laughs, Joey.
But I'm done here.

Blueoak, you're acting like a child. Leaving because you
think that an administrator hates you, or whatever your problem is regarding Joey. It is true how you acted unnecessarily cocky, yet you don't want to accept that. It is true that you went apeshit crazy after the election, and you don't accept that. So, to sum this up and make this clear, the reason Joey is talking behind your back is because he is likely tired of your nonsense. I am, myself. While I admit it's not nice to talk behind someone's back, I would definitely say Joey had a valid reason to, and complaining and even leaving about that is downright inane.
There are a few other things I would like to clear up:
Valtries the Fox wrote:I certainly believe that Knux deserves to run this community way more than Joey does because he has chosen his staff carefully and enforces the rules in a strict but civil manner.
that's the stupidest thing i have ever heard
TangledLion wrote:He also needs to let people discuss past events like, hacking, spamming, etc.
There's no point on dwelling in the past.
Bomber57 wrote:I still think Natsu, YB or Blue would've been a better moderator than Kley, who, as I am told, "works behind the scenes."
I agree.
Blueoak wrote:Well done, folks. You've actually managed to drive me out.
That is what I WISH I could say, but I, unlike you, are no more special than anyone else here, so as Joey said, get off of your high horse, please.

I just LOVE when people talk about me behind my back! It fills my heart with so much joy, you don't even know!
Now, seriously: it's quite pathetic you say stuff like this behind my back. Why can't you say it to my face? Oh wait, you can't! Sorry, I forgot.
And let's not forget how many times you and the staff on the IRC, it's happened so many times, I've lost count. No need to provide proof, people have seen it happen to not just me, but quite a few people.
Truth is, your admin team ( only administrators ) aren't capable of being admin. Quill seems to take things a tad too seriously sometimes, and I've seen him kick quite a few people from the IRC for no reason. Valtteri gets pissed off if anyone jokes about him, and he seems to be admin on EVERY smbx forum just because he's made a few good episodes.
And last, but not least, the drama. This place has more drama than any other forum I've seen has had in a year. I'm talking around a 3-month time span here, so since atleast early May. Why is it so hard to prevent drama here? It's really not that hard... Left and right, I see people talking shit about a certain member. No need to name names, as there's been several.
Pretty much done with this community... Seems like you can't go one day without a fire getting started by someone. It's pretty pathetic, if you ask me.
PS: backing up this post because it might be deleted.

Let me clear something up about "talking behind someone's back".
It looks like you guys are getting angry about it because I'm giving members "juicy info" or something about you guys when you're not around. I assure you that isn't what happening, the only reason why it occured "behind your back" was because it was 1 in the morning EST so you guys (Blueoak, sleepy) obviously weren't there. I probably would've said the same things had you been there.
The place only has "drama" because people let it have drama. You can't look at me like that's my fault - I can't physically read every single thing posted here. That's why there's a report button, because that's a lot easier for me (and the rest of the staff) to see. Getting angry with me because I didn't deal with "drama" that was never reported and then being passive-aggressive about it later isn't helping anyone.
The "this happened and I don't need to provide proof" argument doesn't help anyone either.

I didn't want to have to address all these things but okay.
Kep wrote:*snip*
Firstly, "And when I said "You've actually managed to drive me out." I was referring to that it's not easy to drive me out of somewhere." Pay attention before posting.
Secondly, I am fully aware that I am extremely cocky. I'm not even sure where I denied that.
Thirdly, yes, I was pissed after the election. Considering the circumstances though it was justified.
And lastly, do you
really think I'm leaving
just because of this one thing? To think that only shows that you're the child here. There are so many more reasons such as people like you who feel the need to act smart and suck up to the staff whenever you get the chance to.
I'm not angry about people talking about me behind my back specifically. It's the fact that Joey decided to say that
I did that to him when I didn't do such a thing and he should be
fully aware by now that the very idea of talking about others behind their back is something I despise. I say it all the time. And not liking someone isn't a reason to talk about them behind their back when they don't like it
if you're the administrator. And Joey, "I probably would've said the same things had you been there." doesn't change the fact that you did it while I wasn't there.
Now please, let me just not bother with this. From here on, I'm not responding to anything. I've made up my mind, and that's it.
So fuck off and let me be.

No wonder you get targeted, you get talked about behind your back, and get disrespect and hate. This is how I felt, though. At the time, I wanted to tell the whole community to downright fuck off. But I didn't, and you're experiencing how I used to feel. But you have to
calm the hell down and don't leave. I didn't leave when I was getting hate and disrespect. You just... have to deal with it and handle it maturely, even if I didn't deal with it and handle it maturely. But in the end, I did. And look now. While I still may not be liked by a majority of this forum, I'm not constantly targeted anymore. So while you may consider me immature, I am.
I am and I am able to admit it. Hate to say it bro, but you are immature too. Man up. If you feel like I hate you, I don't. If you feel like a majority of the community hates you, I'm not sure if they do or not because I'm not some super-awesome psychic.
