I've seen my stance being misinterpreted in that log. I'm supportive of Joey's actions as an administrator.
Sleepy wrote:Truth is, your admin team ( only administrators ) aren't capable of being admin. Quill seems to take things a tad too seriously sometimes, and I've seen him kick quite a few people from the IRC for no reason. Valtteri gets pissed off if anyone jokes about him, and he seems to be admin on EVERY smbx forum just because he's made a few good episodes.
You're quick to make assumptions. Quill is a perfectly fine admin. Valtteri has his flaws but ultimately I think I'm too annoyed with him at the moment to have clear judgement.
I certainly believe that Knux deserves to run this community way more than Joey does because he has chosen his staff carefully and enforces the rules in a strict but civil manner.
That's entirely untrue. Knux has changed the community in such a way users were expecting this place to be as loose as his. When they realized this forum has stricter rules (stricter, but not strict), they started badmouthing Joey and attempted to deteriorate his reputation. You guys aren't helping. We needed stricter rules because the state of Knuxforum was pretty awful and was not doing SMBX any justice.

But you did.
Blueoak wrote:and he should be fully aware by now that the very idea of talking about others behind their back is something I despise.
How in the hell am I supposed to know that? This is another one of the problems. You expect people to know everything you think they should know and then get mad when they don't.
Blueoak wrote:I say it all the time.
This comes back to me not having time to read every single thing posted here.
Blueoak wrote:And not liking someone isn't a reason to talk about them behind their back when they don't like it if you're the administrator.
This sentence assumes two things:

1. That I don't like you.
2. That what you like should influence the decisions I make.
Blueoak wrote:And Joey, "I probably would've said the same things had you been there." doesn't change the fact that you did it while I wasn't there.
It wouldn't have been possible for me to not say those things "behind your back" because you were asleep and away from your computer.

Again, this was not "me whispering gossip to another member" or "me giving the inside scoop when Blueoak isn't here". I was just talking about you and you happened to not be there. Is it easier for me to say those things when you aren't there? Sure, because there was a lot less drama resulting from it.
Blueoak wrote:Now please, let me just not bother with this. From here on, I'm not responding to anything. I've made up my mind, and that's it.
So fuck off and let me be.
Then why did you make a topic?

This describes the question I've been wondering for the past minutes I've been reading this thread.

Posting won't do any good as our fella won't read anything, yet I do feel the need to tell ‘ya chill out. You're making a big deal out of nothing. I won't try to change something that nobody else but yourself can solve, but seriously, how immature can you be. I don't care if you find this rude; you're angered because someone HAPPENED to HAVE said something ABOUT YOU when you WEREN'T there. Despite it is true or not, that's the stupidest thing ever said, or at least, the stupidest thing I've ever heard, with increases. How many people do you think talking your back when you go to sleep? On Facebook, on school, in your house!! You want people to not talk in your back, try solving the global warming issue, that'd be way more possible than changing a common behavior.

Seriously though, there ARE people that have better reasons to leave this place, yet those reasons remain unknown or not so well explained. I agree with Kep's post, come back when you man up, then we'll agree with your brand new perspective.

I don't see how disliking people talking behind his back is 'immature'. No really, I am completely unable to grasp such a thing. He most likely has a good reason for that, and calling his belief 'immature' and telling him to 'grow up' is simply ridiculous.

It's more than just that. His behavior, his overreacting, his constant bitching (no offense to anybody), and his insults.

all I ever see you do is complain, blue

Hey, I think you're a chill dude, and you certainly have reason to complain, but bitching about it 24/7 won't solve anything.

Sometimes its just better to forgive and forget

Blueoak, i'll miss you, i actually would like you to come back, i thought you were a pretty neat guy.

But, on the other hand, i'm still quite pissed that users are leaving the forum for the "joeys an inbred nigger and he's rustling my jimmies by not listening to my shit"

Seriously guys, give me some examples where he's not listening to relevant shit.

Relevant as in: not a forum game suggestion, not a rank suggestion, or any kind of stupid shit people have come up with.

Actually, give me one fucking example, ONE fucking example where people suggest shit regarding the forum rules and staff ("WHYS THIS GUY NOT A MOD" doesn't count)

Removing the kamikaze koopa rank because of the possibility of seizures. Because epileptic people are that sensitive to pictures that are 32x32.

Doesn't like one or two people still have the Kamikaze Koopa rank though?

Yeah, it was removed for a while until administration decided that the whole thing was kind of silly.

Anyways hope to see you back in a few days/weeks Blueoak.

When you view, in blanket terms, the idea of someone talking about someone else behind their back as an inherently negative thing, that automatically applies to situations that justify criticizing an accuser rather than the person they're accusing. This isn't good when the accused person gets away with bad behaviour as a result of this kind of mentality. In effect it's a mentality that's ostensibly neutral (and thus mature*!), but in a lot of situations it favours the accused, so it's actually not neutral at all.
*(also neutrality != maturity)
At some point during their lives, people are supposed to learn the difference between when "taking sides" is immature and when it's not, and the difference between talking shit about someone they don't like and venting or expressing frustration, disdain, doubt, or any kind of opinion over a person's actions. Of course, in the latter case, it can be better to confront that person directly. However if that person evidently refuses to accept what you say, that can only lead to more frustration and a more definite need to vent it somehow. Talking with other people and finding some solace or validation in their understanding of how you feel/think is a very human thing. It's natural. It's also entirely acceptable by necessity, and if your only specific reaction to it is to tell people you don't like it when people not present are being talked about, I'd like to think you would benefit from reading this post.

I think we all use these forums for hanging out with the smbx community and making levels.

That's all, everything is is nonsense. I think we should accept the forums as it is and try not to make unnecessary drama.
No hate, no dissing and no gang repping. Who cares about the admin ranks or whatever, the admins are here to make the forums better and if they do a particular thing, I wouldn't care. As long as it didn't effect my smbx gameplay.
The unnecessary drama created here makes us think we are separated, but in reality we are one in the same. We are here for one goal and that is to have a community. Why hate one another? There's no perpose in that. Let the Admins make their decisions, don't always give them heat for it. Lately I've seen so much drama, fights and people leaving because of it.

And I'm just here doing what I do best, making levels. The way it should be.

And maby occasionally interacting with others.

I have a better question, why is this thread still open?

No, seriously. This thread has no purpose anymore. Apparently, Blueoak won't be listening to anybody except for Joey, and both don't seem to reach an agreement. Even though we can submit our opinion on the matter, it just won't do anything, either bad or good.
