Also not a big deal but instead of sticking with a flat 112x100 you might consider removing that limit and making the program scale the icons itself while respecting aspect ratio.
Scaling the program icons would be a bit difficult. They are just icons so they're not meant to be big or anything.

As for moving everything to the right, I would have to set a right to left text layout which should be just a matter of doing a quick google search. The icon is too big to be placed next to the text however so I'm considering having it scale down so it doesn't interfere with the description.

Thanks for the input though! I'm definitely taking all this into consideration.

edit: apparently with the framework i'm using it's impossible to set the text to do a righttoleft format :/

edit2: just had to turn off some autosizing stuff ;)

How's this?

edit3: teasing some more stuff in this topic. I finished up the about box and moved the settings to its own dedicated form

I personally feel this is a very beautiful About Box.

Ver 2 or the new one that's in development?

Both are. I develop on both Windows 7 and Windows 8 platforms and it 100% works on both. Those are the OS'es I can guarantee compatibility for. Not so much Vista or XP since I don't
A. Own a Vista machine
B. XP is not supported by Microsoft anymore.

Daily reminder that I will be posting updates here as opposed to this forum topic so you guys should either follow it, or check http://smbxepmanager.tumblr.com/ daily. I'll post some cool stuff there!

Now, the icons for the program are as follows.

Image

This is the icon for the episode manager itself. Notice how it's still a yellow mushroom, but this time SMB3 styled with an SMB3 palette. I think it looks pretty classy

Image

This icon is subject to change but this is the icon for the index generator. If I can find this color palette but in SMB3 form I'll probably change it to an SMB3 mushroom.

Cheers,

Mike

I'm still not sure why it causes this. Probably due to a sizing difference between Windows 8 and 7 (it increases the size by two until it hits a certain number, of course increasing by two it can't hit that number on Windows 7 due to the sizing difference).

The new version will be released soon but if you really can't wait you can download a slightly outdated version: http://mrmiketheripper.x10.mx/epmanager ... r_2222.zip

That will update when it starts.

The new installer will not do this, I promise :)

I don't understand, it works just fine for me and no viruses show up on a scan. Are you sure it's not just a bug with installing like the one mentioned above?

If you're getting a virus alert then you're probably not using a very good antivirus. The file's perfectly fine.

Also just an idea but you might try to post things a little more clearly next time. Your posts don't make a lot of sense and immediately starting things off saying it's crap and full of viruses is an awful way to get people to want to help you.

Derp it calls it a virus because it ends with exe and any antivirus means that exe is automatically a virus because thats what most use.

The wierdest thing is that on the npc editor, smartscreen lets it, and SEP says its untrustworthy, but on the SMBX episode manager, smartscreen dosent let it and SEP says its a prob...

Good god, I'm gone for a couple days and come back to virus accusations.

Let me clear some stuff up.
First of all, this project is OPEN SOURCE. Meaning that you can actually get the source code, and edit it. You don't want to use the version I build straight from source then you can go ahead and figure out how to build your own.

Second of all, which are you running? The installer or the program itself?

Third of all, was the NPC Editor a virus? No. This is stickied too. Would Joey sticky a virus? No.

Nothing against you but I just think that you guys should have some common sense. I put alot of work into this and for it to just be called a "virus" because your crappy antivirus doesn't detect it doesn't make me feel too great.

And let it be noted, on my alternate development computer which has McAfee, one of the most sensitive antivirus I've ever used, I installed it right from the installer and it doesn't say it's a virus. I've also installed it from my Windows 8.1 computer and Smartscreen didn't bug me.

I'll try and figure out how to sign the EXE's come next version but I can assure you it is not a virus.

I think lotsa people don't have Local Disc (D:) , but i and some one have it.

This gives a error ,, Could not found C:/SMBX/worlds "

Also error 404 by clicking Tower Of Biased 5 does not surprise me at all.

If you read the rest of the error, it tells you to go into settings and configure your directories

I actually have a Local Disc [E:] that I send most of my files to.

EDIT: As for Tower of Biased, I couldn't get all the files uploaded and I'll fix that and remove the entry. When I have better internet (hoepfully soon) I can upload the files for it and such.
