I Had to use a VPN to get on here

I don't know where else I'm supposed to report this, I know this isn't necessarily Joey's fault or anything but I'd like to put it out there anyway.
For the past 3 days, I haven't been able to get on SMBX.org or irc.stardustfields.net. I've tried this on both my wired connection (
inb4 its too slow) and on my AT&T data connection. On my wired, it returns a timed out error and on my mobile (last I checked) it returned a 502 bad gateway. I'm not sure what's happening but by using a web based VPN service I was finally able to get on here.
I have brighthouse as my wired internet provider. I don't think they would manually censor this place for any reason so I'm starting to think something else is going on. Probably to do with his provider.
And for those wondering, I live in central Florida. I know people in other parts of the world are able to get on but I just think its kinda weird that a VPN allowed me to get on.
Still can't get on the chat either btw, tried the webchat through this VPN and it said the connection timed out. Oddly enough the same error my IRC client gave me.
For those wonder,
this is what I used. If any other users are having trouble getting on I'm going to point them to this service as it works more like a VPN than a proxy.

Thank you for posting this. I'm trying to get it figured out - my best lead right now is that this server has been blocked in certain regions, but I really don't know what's going on so hopefully my provider will have some more info.
Could you try on your mobile again to see if you get a 502 error?

I also use BrightHouse like Luigifan, and live in east-central Florida so I assume this is either regional or ISP related.

My tracert looked similar to that iirc. Well I'm glad we found a temp solution at least. Ghost, if you're interested I found a Chrome extension that's pretty set or forget and works with the webchat. I'm not trying to advertise it as Knux seems to fucking think
It's called Spotflux and you can enable/disable on a per page basis if need be.

Could you please unban my phone and laptop IPs? I can't access it anymore using KProxy, only VPNBook.

Idk why KProxy isn't working for you, but chances are the ban is from bahamut and friends using proxies. I assume VPNBook is safer anyway, and the speed isn't
too bad.
Anyway.
Has the error been determined yet, or whatever may be going on? Also, Joey if you need anything else from me chances are that I'll be on KottNet and Esper (it's better that way anyway since I get notifications on there as opposed to proxies).

Most proxies were probably banned after bahamut's repeated attacks, but Luigifan2010 found a working one. You can share that with him I guess.

Well this is moreso a VPN it works a little different than a proxy as it still uses your IP I noticed. It just redirects you so you can access certain websites.

My hosting provider has identified the problem as an issue with Level3, one of their upstream providers, and they are trying to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

Awesome, I suggest we leave this open just in case other users from other regions want to report anything and close it once the issues resolved?

I don't know if anybody else had this problem as well, but recently I'm having trouble to log in, or simply load this site on any computer. I may be saying this, but I actually tried doing so on two computers, both currently can't grant me access to this forum. I'm using a computer on my school right now to consult if there's some maintenance going on recently or practically anything that interferes with me and this site.
