Some people stay play 1.3 but a lot of people have moved on to playing SMBX2. It's the newest version of SMBX!

SMBX does not come with any viruses. Sometimes anti-virus software incorrectly detects it as such.

Hello there. Sadly, there is error when I open the ZIP file. This error appears on both Windows File Explorer and WinRAR. Is there any way to fix it? Thanks.

have you tried 7zip?

So this is the default download but aparrently the latest version is 4.1.1 so is 4.1.1 Fan-made? Because i don't understand

this is the latest version of what Redigit developped. The actually newest version is SMBX2 Beta 3.

There's also SMBX 1.4.4 but it's not in the line of actual SMBX versions, since it's not compatible. It's a completely differently working engine that only shares the name.

Every time i download SMBX, it goes well until i try to extract the zip file, then winzip says the file is corrupt, so i cant extract it. i tried copying and pasting, didn't work. i tried opening the app from winzip and, you guessed it, it didn't work. Please help i really wanna play!

I recommend you use 7-zip instead of Winzip and make sure that the download isn't corrupt when it is finished.

When I extract it I get the error that the folder is empty and I need to put stuff in it.

I have tried renaming the periods out of it, and I've tried just opening the folder. All attempts lead to an invalid folder error, or should I try extracting again, an empty folder error.

Any idea how I can get this game to work?

1. Are you using a extractor such as Winzip? Extractors like Winzip will cause problems and say the file is corrupt, 7-Zip and some other extractors can extract it well.

2. If the folder keeps giving you an error, it is most likely that the file is corrupt, if you downloaded the .zip and it shows up as SMBX 1.3.0.1 with 0GB, it's most likely that it didn't finish and it stopped abruptly.

ok,it wasnt SMBX's fault,it was my pc being bad,since it works good now,thanks for the help anyways

just right-click the file and "Extract" with 7zip.
