So i'm not a new user, I'm actually one of the first ten members on this forum, and I'm not leaving or anything, but I figured I'd post this here to try and explain some things
I'm Uncle Sam, and I requested my name changed to Karl Marx for a variety of reasons. First off, I was never really all that satisfied with my username. It felt too random, too silly, too 15 year old ish, you know what I mean? These past three years I've been in this community, I've gotten way more cynical than I was back when I was a doe-eyed freshman in high school. My Uncle Sam persona like felt like an artifact of those times, and I was honestly growing sick and tired of it. I had little to no reason to choose it when I first joined Knux's forum back in 2011, and I see little reason to keep it now.
This Karl Marx persona, however, is different. First off, my last name is Marx IRL, for those of you who haven't visited my Facebook profile yet. Some of my friends actually call me Karl as a joke, and place me at the butt of various communism jokes, because in case you didn't know, Karl Marx along with a guy nobody cares about named Friedrich Engels wrote The Communist Manifesto, basically the blueprint for modern Communism. Anyway, I've been going to LAN parties and I've always used Karl Marx as my callsign in AOE2 and Battlefront II, and honestly, I just like the irony of this username more, as my own personal political beliefs are like the polar opposite from the actual Karl Marx.
So in short, goodbye Uncle Sam, hello Karl Marx!
