The Dino-Torch one doesn't breathe fire for now, but I'm currently trying to get it to work. Not sure if it's possible to do it, but if it isn't I'll keep it anyway; maybe I'll have a separate one that breathes fire or something :p

Why don't you make a dinorhino replacing something like the smb3 giant goomba and a dino-torch replacing something like a snephit(<Le bad spelling). And then use layers and events to make it that when you kill the dino rhino the dino-torch will appear and it will be able to do things like breath fire.Just a suggestion.

@Christian07: That looks decent. But the trees look metallic--maybe make them more rough and tone down the shading. The shy guys look a little awkward because they'd have to be giant to appear that big on the map. Also, the tall vase in the first screenshot looks a bit flat; maybe you could use the same style as the small pipes.

I can't do anything with the tree, because it use all the colors of the SMB2 tree (so it's impossible to tone down the shade) and when I try to make it more rough, it become ugly. Also I can't do a smaller shy guy. I fix the tall vase.

You could just remove some of the shades. It doesn't have to have EVERY color. You could add a few branches on the side as well to make it look less...smooth.

Decided to muck-up around in SMBx. This is what I ended up with.

I really like the atmosphere in this one Kep, to me it give a murky-ish feeling. Looks great.

How do you make shading effects like in Kep's screenshot? I've seen it elsewhere in SMBX, but I have no idea how you would do that.

I appreciate the kind feedback, considering the fact that this is probably only my fifth or sixth level made in SMBX.

You take the filling paint bucket tool, choose your color, and then turn the tolerance to 100% to recolor the entire image. Then, using solid black, turn the tolerance to 0% and then recolor the black area its respectable.
