Does anyone know how to purposely make the graphics glitchy?

I wanna know how to make the graphics purposely glitchy like that. Don't tell me this is the wrong forum since this is SMBX related.

Use a background like the SMB3 airship and extend it upwards until your cursor starts glitching. This means the game can't draw graphics correctly beyond that point and it will glitch.

In a joke level I made a little while back that got the attention of many called MY DICK IN YOUR FACE, there was a part near the end where the player takes drugs and the background has that "stretchy" effect. This is how to do it.
1. Get the SMB1 Overworld "hills" background.
2. Open it in MSpaint to edit.
3. Shrink it down all the way from 1000x1000(its original size) to 1x1.
4. Color that one pixel black.
5. Save.
