Just found that out while messing around with the projectile generator ingame.

I think a lot of us knew that, me included, before you posted this. I found out when playing through deadfish's level, Rap rap skies, and was just floating over the spammy NPC generators at the end in a bid to find out what happens if the score maxes out, whether there is a max, a runtime error, or it just keeps going on and on.

Isn't that the max score in SMB3, too?

And yeah, Blue Greed, that's the maximum score in both SMB3 and SMW.

IT'S OVER 9000

It's probably 9999999, but the minimum score you can get is 10 so it's assumed its that number.

I already knew this little "Scoring System" that the Max amount you can get it 9999990 but a problem is it never lets you save your collected score which is a shame.

Also for some reason, when you make an NPC and set it's score to 1 (so you get only 10 points), the point-system only rises to the 8000 points-mark, where it stops, so you never get a 1-up or 2-up.
I guess SMBX only rises the point counter-ladder by 8 levels (from 1 to 9 in this case). At least this is what it did for me, when i tired to get to this limit, so i reached the 9999990-limit in about 40 seconds.

im guessing the reason it only goes to 9999990 is because the numbers go up by 10 and going 10 up from 9999990 would go to 10000000 which is impossible but if a score was to increase the layer scre by 9 instead of 10 then it would go up to 9999999

The game does not really reconizes a score that has 1 to 9 in it so it will stays at 0 no matter what. Only Score that goes up are: 10; 100; 200; 400; 800; 1000; 2000; 4000; 8000.

I know that the scores only have those values. I was referring toIF there was a score value for 9
