(I have no idea what this is called)
I was watching random videos on youtube, and I came across something from Super Paper Mario: A starman that turns you into a giant, 8-bit version of yourself. I thought, "man, wouldn't it be cool to have this in SMBX?" And so I did my best to carry it over. It's far from perfect, but it is functional.

They're lava particles caused by me destroying the pipe.

really cool idea, the sprite looks good too (You did just copy the smb1 small mario but it's the same in spm )
i'll check it out when i'm back from vacation
