Having Trouble Downloading Things

Whenever I try to download anything from the forums, there is either a Download Error or a Network Error. Can anyone help me?

Can you give us some more details about the errors you are receiving? Screenshots would be cool.

(student) IT Technician working at a college here. Run into this problem just yesterday. After a few hours of diagnosing, we found out that the problem happens as long as there is an anti-virus installed. Disabling it does nothing, but uninstalling the anti-virus immediately allowed downloads to resume normally.
Upon careful investigation, it was found that the anti-virus's HTTP checking (port checking) option was responsible. Disabling this option permanently fixes the network error thing. Since only HTTP/Port-checking is disabled the anti-virus should still work normally

Thanks, but I don't have an active anti-virus (which isn't exactly good, but...) yet I still get these errors...

I tried to re-download the Ultimate Graphics Pack (Part 2) but now it won't even start downloading.

Do you have any antivirus installed whatsoever (even inactive)?

Yes, McAfee I think... I don't know how to disable it though, anytime I try to open it, it tells me to buy the newest version.

Go to Control Panel and then to Programs and Features and you can uninstall it.
