Daughter of Sunlight (An RPG)

We needed more topics about RPGs.

So throughout June, rpgmakerweb hosted a contest for people to start and complete an hour-long RPG or non-RPG game. After purchasing RPG Maker VX Ace on the last day of the Humble Bundle, I tried out the program and eventually decided why not enter. I spent about nine days working on this and submitted about a half an hour before the deadline. This game was a major learning experience, and I'm sure I'll be able to accomplish more on future projects (if there are any).

So enough of that - what about the game? Well...

This is the story of Aurora, a lonely little girl learning about herself. In the clouds high above Earth, connections with land are rare. The forever moving cloud castle houses the seven Daughters of Sunlight, but at age fifteen, each Daughter gives her spirit of light to help keep the sun shining and the world safe from monsters. Youngest of the seven, Aurora is upset when her sister, Celey, has to leave, but there is little Aurora can do.
The game follows an RPG format and is mainly driven by its story of Aurora and her life as a Daughter of Sunlight. There are quite a few puzzles throughout the game, so I caution you if you have negative brain power. The game averages about 40 minutes of playtime, so it shouldn't take too long to play.

I'd love to get some reviews and upvotes on the contest page if you like the game.
The download can be found here.

And again, I thank my steam friends that supported me as I made this. :)

This post could've been flashier, but whatever.

Indeed. I like your efforts. Your screenshots show Grade-A material in my experience.

Say, your project wouldn't happen to have anything to do with Child of Light, would it? Both games are named after a child and a type of light, and both games' protagonists are girls named Aurora. But I'm sure you knew that already!

There's no relation. I didn't know Child of Light even existed until a few days after I finished my RPG.
