I also want to talk something like "Let's be Nice to each other". This is for me a very important goal here. I also do not like if there are just pointless arguments just for a little "Mistake". Everyone is making mistakes including me and so on but that can be learned. I wish those "Dramas" should end very quickly.

Michel's topic was perfectly civil to the point where Joey threatened to lock the topic. It wasn't necessary. I'm going to direct this at Michel, Pixels and Joey.

Michel's my best friend in this community. He usually makes solid arguments and actually cares for this community. Though he may be a bit rude at times, he's great if you get to know him, like Knux said. Personally, I don't think Michel's history with this community is pertinent to the points he has made in that topic. He adheres to the rules and introduces his arguments in a mature way. In the context of Michel's topic gerting locked, Joey's threats were entirely pointless and only strengthened Michel's argument.

Pixels, while inactive, still reads the forum frequently, and like every other user, he has the right to post his opinion.

Joey is a great guy. I realized this last year. Albeit I despised his condescending behavior, I realized I was being a prick to him most of the time and I think we're OK now. What I don't like is his arrogant attitude. I think he needs to get off his high horse and value other people's opinions more.

The community was upset over the lock to the point where he's down to -1 rep now. That speaks volumes.
Frankly GhostHawk was handling it very well, and I saw no reason for Joey's complete and utter derailing of the topic.
But that's only my take.

Really? He's told me many times he doesn't care about this community at all.

I know he does. He wouldn't have bothered to post that thread otherwise. He doesn't get involved much because he has to look after his own community.

Just the other day, an IRC op didn't attend to a situation quick enough, and because they didn't deal with it quick enough, it resulted in a user self-harming.

For what it's worth, this user self-harming is not the IRC staff's fault at all.
