This looks very bland, and it needs WAY more shading. I recommend you look into shading techniques.

I highly recommend you make a SMB3 styled version considering SMW is rarely used. Otherwise, this looks fine. The chocolate-lava-poison-toxic looks neat.

Lol wut.
Anyways, yeah, this needs shading, badly.
If I were you I would make a SMB3 Styled one, because that is the most used style.

Seriously? Styles and/or Themes aren't the case of being on our popular statements. Everyone can use different games so it isn't 100% necessary to have them in SMB3. Just sayin'. SMW is also on a highly use.

I really like them. It looks very nice but for me it misses a bit more texture inside it but meh, SMW style.

The red tiles look too bright that it is a bit eye-raping. Colour the tiles a bit darker would be a wise decision.

are you serious lol

No it isn't. SMW is more used because it has the slopes and edges that SMB3 doesn't have. (btw there was an entire episode dedicated to smw)

OT: Your tileset looks good for a start, but I'd recommend you shade it a bit more, so the tileset looks more 16-bit.

I have an opinion for the red tileset, to me it looks like it is a jelly tileset of sorts, similar to the bouncy one in Angry Birds Space (Utopia episode). Have a look at those and they might give you an idea to make it look a little less bland. However, I have a second idea you might like to try. There is a grass tileset dubbed the "YI Jelly Grassland" and it has been used a few times. The texture in that tileset would probably benefit this this red tileset. If you would like me to show this tileset I'd be happy to link you to it. I haven't really got much help for the purple grass tileset though, but overall you are on the right track, so keep it up and I'm sure you Candy themed tilesets will pay off. :)
