This happens to me too, and I haven't even used webchat in a long time. I wonder what causes this.

If you seriously hear this in random situations your mind is probably going nuts from all the IRC. This kinda sorta happens to me too but I don't let it annoy me.

when i used webchat, i used to hear the ping all of the time
it like gets drilled into your brain, they really should change it to something more pleasant

In the 1.3 version of Nimbus Land, I swear I can hear a "snup" sound, like in Windows XP when you click a link.

That sound isn't imagination, looks like something went wrong there when recording the music or something. It doesn't happen anymore in the 1.3.0.1 version of the Nimbus Land theme.

Some of the soundtrack I'm using in one of my levels I'm making in my project has these ping sounds which distracting.

And lol webchat, while I have used it a few times (only because of college) I have never heard how the pinging sound sounds like ONCE so idk. I can customize xchat to have sounds but no.

This occurred all the time for me until I got a client.

Conclusion: If anyone doesn't want to go crazy, get a web client.

I've noticed it a few times. Here's an example in this song at 3:11, it's VERY faint, but can you hear it also? The sound is then heard multiple times again. Maybe it's just the instruments?
Maybe it's just me...who knows. It sounds a lot like the webchat ping though.

i dont do web chat so i think its you
