http://www.bandicam.com/

Download the free version and watch the videos on how to set it up. It isn't hard to set up, really. This is the video recorder I use, and it works greatly.

Bandicam is a great choice. Camstudio is also another good choice. It may be older, but it works great and there are no watermarks. http://camstudio.org/

Like @Zeldamaster12 already said, Bandicam is a very good video recorder. It's easy to use and I use it always to record SMBX Videos and other too of course.

You can always try it out.

I've actually bought a Bandicam license, but I might be looking for something a lot better to use, since Bandicam isn't compatible with my microphone for some reason, I have to use an external program like Audacity to record any commentary, which means I have to go into extensive editing to sync up the audio and commentary. You might have better luck with it than I have. It shoots in 1080p, and if you use Windows Movie Maker (also free), you can keep the 1080p resolution.
