Title says it all.
I am wanting to totally overhaul almost everything in the game at least graphics and audio wise to make an Adventure Island game.
But i can't find the subscreen or status graphics anywhere!
Where are they? And if they can't be modified.. why not?
I'd expect almost everything graphical could me modified/edited.
And i did a search to ask this.. maybe i did not do a hard enough search, but i did not find a topic anywhere discussing this.
If it's been asked, i'm sorry.
But thought i would find out what ever i can at least.

Status/subscreen graphics? You can't edit them unless you have the source code - they're hardcoded. But for everything else, yes you can edit it - in that way it would really just be custom graphics.

Damn man... i wanna change that ugly flat SMW frame for the items... everything else is open to edit after all.
Plus as it stands, when i make this into less of a mario game, i don't want their being any signs of this ever being a mario game... makes it rather difficult when some things are left like that.
A tool like this should have lots of options..
Gotta be some way around it.

Super MARIO Bros X.

It seems you got into the wrong game.

Not going to argue... but i think adding in at least options to change everything graphics wise would help to be able to do more creative things.

I think if you extract the .exe file you can put in custom ones, but then you'd have to give people your .exe to play your episode with the custom graphics... But it is possible, cuz Dragonmaster did it.
